I always thought I had a clue, but I so didn't see that coming!

Amazing game, Ewan! Thanks a lot!!!
When Ezra's corrupted avatar was killed, the event sent cosmic shockwaves through the land and actually tore the Weave. Shadow Weave evil stuff seeped in, and the link between Ravenloft and Marsember began to grow, and it only grew stronger as more evil was done and more badddies went free to wreak havoc.
The canals carried her polluted blood/essnce to every corner of the city, like the vessels of the body- if the tomb at King's Tower were the heart.

Awesome!

We did our best, but with no support from anyone (with the dubious exception of Rask) it was a doomed effort.

I would also be enthused for a sequel, but I wouldn't walk away from a first level game!

Games are always better with GMs running what they want to run.

Please take no offense in this statement; Alain believes she is self centered, like it or not It is how he has come to perceive the character. It is not really something that needs to be defended out of character.

I'm not offended. I'm bemused! I don't understand howw Alain reached that opinion, and I thought I had a handle on what he was like. But you are of course under no obligation to explain your PC!

There was never any question of having to defend it OOC.

Holy crap...!

Just when I thought I was OUT, they pull me back in!

Nicely done. I love the imagery of a corrupted god's dead essence moving through the "circulatory system" of the city.

Yeah, I'm also good with either a sequel or a 1st-level campaign, but I may not be able to jump in right away. The end of this chapter comes at a good time, actually, as I'm very busy right now and would probably benefit by not having the irrestible temptation of checking these forums every couple of hours! :) (Which is a compliment to Ewan and every player here.)

Wow! That was...wow!!!

Great finale Ewan! So unpredictable!!!

As the rest I'd like to play the sequel but not very keen on play 1st level :( I like Ino and don't want to drop her. But if all of you want 1st level I'll join you.

Thank you Ewan and all of you! Was a great game and hope we can still keep playing here.

Van or Ken. I have place for Ken in my game and I think ewan has place in his Musarde game for Van! ewan and I discussed it last night and it was our concensus that we should keep Ken and kintire together in the same game. They work so well together!

So Ken if you do want to play a game, I'll gladly take you. Otherwise we can all wait for a new game and we can all play in it together!

Depends on when we will plan to start playing again Tarlyn. If we start soon I prefer rather wait and join there than enter now in a game that has started a while back like Eawan's. But if we will not start anytime soon then yes, I'll be happy to join Ewan's game.

 Am I really the only one who wants to know how things might continue?!

I am wanting to know too! Kind of like an epilogue to bring closure to us all?

Hmm would that depend on if a new game would be the continuation or not?

Crap! It's over!

I had a lot of fun playing this, Ewan. I don't believe I guessed right even once during the course of the game, lol.

Thanks goes to Tarlyn as well for suggesting that I join the game in a pm a while back. It is always a pleasure to play Alain as he represents most of my weaker qualities.

I hope this isn't the end of the road though, I would hate for the party to be left on such shakey ground without a chance for redemption. And with Alain's spirit in shambles, he would be a lot more interesting to play.

I do have one question, which you probably wont answer. Is Jamethon now corrupted by the taint of Ezra's avatar being corrupted? It seemed as though that is the case, though I may have interpreted that final scene wrong.

And if we do happen to play a continuance to his game, I seriously doubt I can play Breana hahahahahaahahah!

Well, now that we are at the end of the game, I have no problem explaining things a bit.
Alain looks at those who are still around from the Staunton Bluffs expedition as very dear and close friends. As far as he is concerned they can really do no wrong. He has come to accept them despite whatever flaws or extremes in personality they may have. He has an ego, although fragile, that comes with the turf of most writers and is quick to label others (how Alain treats IH is a good example of this).
As for believing that Shana is self centered, she is an entertainer who dresses very scantily. She is flirtatious and has a very difficult time considering most peoples views. Regardless, he would trust her with his life at the drop of a dime because he knows that she does have a good heart and will do the right thing if pressed to it.
I really do not want you to take offense to any of this, so in my own defense, as a player, I try to find personality traits in other characters in which for my pc to identify and interact with. It looks like the personality trait I made reference to was something that you where not trying to display through your character, but even in real life, people make assumptions as mis-judge others all the time.

Oh, I want to throw my hat in, as a player, if anyone wishes to run another game. That would be awesome. I really enjoy playing with this group.
