I am very interested, as I suspect some players are, in seeing how the Tonio-Sir Clive scene plays out and also the possibility of Everline explaining how exactly she got here to a curious Benn.

But it's been some time in the real-world and I also want to keep the gameplay flowing.

As none of these scenes are happening in combat time or are otherwise especially time-sensitive, I think we can backfill the RP using posted flashback,PMs which will then be transferred to the IC thread, etc.

The party's general intent is clear enough.

Good rolls, those.

I need to know the spells prepared for casters, going into this next chapter.

Hello friends! I am a bit behind the curve on what's happening (Nothing to do with my personal health).
I'll catch up as soon as possible.

No changes for Meela. She will have Speak with Animals and Entangle memorized.

Here are Klokulf's prepared spells:
VIEW CONTENT:
Cleric
0 --- detect magic (x2), read magic, light, amanuensis
1st --- deathwatch, shield of faith, remove fear, bless, disguise self*
2nd --- cure moderate wounds (x2), body blades, detect thoughts*
3rd --- ice axe, downdraft, clairaudience/clairvoyance*
* Domain spell
Wizard
0 --- ghost sound, mage hand, dancing lights
1st --- cause fear, chill touch
Right before we engage the dragon, Klokulf will cast bless on everyone, remove fear on Tonio (if Sir Clive allows it), then shield of faith, body blades, and disguise self on himself. The disguise self is to hide the body blades, that way the dragon might choke itself on Klokulf if it tries to eat him. Klokulf will make sure to warn others (especially Alwina) not to touch him for at least 5 minutes after the battle begins, even though they can't see the blades. The downdraft spell is ready in case the dragon tries to fly away.

Random question, does Raen (that has alchemy and has been in civilized places like Richemulot and uncivilized ones like bad places in Darkon) recognize the tar and hydrocarbons?

He does not know what 'hydrocarbons' are in the sense of understanding modern scientific chemistry, but he certainly does recognize the tar as a flammable substance useful various alchemical processes and concoctions.
Given time and basic equipment, he could make use of this stuff. Alchemist's fire...

Presumably the water is too murky to see far below the surface? Kat is guessing there is an underwater cave in the island below water opposite the drag mark, but I assume she can't see that?

She can see what might be a submerged cave or passage, though only very dimly, and that is with a lantern thrust out over the water.

Anybody buy a 10 ft pole?

Raen would advise against putting a flame too close to the tar.
