Rardi
The bailiff, without a word, draws back the white sheet.
A man's headless corpse lays on the slab, stark naked. He had a strong but lean build. With no face, judging age is harder, but he might have been about fifty or so. The body is bound. Looking at it, Rardi can see that it closely resembles Delthrin as she last saw him,
save for the lividity and the lack of a head. The hands look the same, down to faint lines that show where rings had been [ Ino took Delthrin's rings]. The ties on the wrists and ankles are the same sort of cord and the same type of knots as Rardi and her companions had used on Delthrin, exactly the same. The body has bruises corresponding to the places Rardi had kicked Delthrin.

Inovidil smiles at the gnome and paying a side glance to the guards says:
"You have already done very much for me Glim, taking care of my spellbook and...help me heal faster. If possible ask the guards if I can have some food or at least water, it's long time I'm in here don't even know how much! And if your brother is around I'd like talk to him as you said. Thank you for everything!"

''Yes, I'll do what I can.''
Glim leaves.
About half an hour later, three guards bring Ino a meal of cold chicken, buttered bread, and beer. They also bring an empty suit of splint armor, missing a helmet.
''We'll untie you so you can eat, but you have to wear this armor. Don't try any magic, or we'll have to hit you. Do you understand?''

Rardi nods at the Bailliff to replace the white sheet. "I'll accompany ye.... SOB.... ta 'is grave........" she weeps openly for her departed friend. Trying to gather her composure, looks at the corpse of her dear friend "Ye deserved a better fate, Arch. S-o-o-rry ye ended up this way...."

Rardi, in the morgue
The bailiff replaces the sheet, covering Delthrin's corpse.
'' We will bury Archedius at sunup. Until then, you'll wait in your new room. If you would like to eat again, my wife will make you something. ''

Rardi seems surprised by the Bailiff's admission that his wife would make Rardi a meal. "Thank yer wife from me kin'ly. Whute'er she makes will be fine, sir. An I'll be ready at sunrise. Jess come git me. I'll jess be glad when all this grim business is gorna be done with, no matter the outcome."
The dwarf sighs, reaches up and wipes her eyes. Head low, she follows the three men back to her new room.

In the room full of evil children monsters...
Alain stays around the corner from the dim fire light long enough to draw his sword. Once at the ready he slowly makes his way around, already quite sure the light of his spell has given away his position.

The child-things have retreated into the deepest shadows of the room. Alain cannot see them, but he does spot the occasional blur of motion, here and there in the gloom.
Slipping around and through the partly open door [it opens inward, not outward] and thus leaving the dark room with the creatures in it, Alain finds himself stepping into an alleyway. It is nighttime, and fog swirls knee-deep over the cobblestones. A light misting rain falls noiselessly from the cloudy sky. The air is cool and humid, but not unpleasantly so.
To Alain's left , the alleyway ends in a low fence after running about ten paces, beyond which he can see little more than the vague outlines of some large building and a row of trees fronting it. To his right about ten paces is the open mouth of the alley. There, standing at the intersection of the narrow alley and the broader street, a man leans his back against the wall of the building from which Alain has just emerged. A glowing oil lantern hanging from a pole is propped against the wall between the man and Alain. The fellow is chatting with someone Alain cannot see, or else he's talking to himself.
To his invisible partner [perhaps concealed by the dense fog, or maybe lurking around the corner of the alley mouth?] the stranger says-
''- told him that the ships came in today at about noontide. He lost two coppers to me over that! Ha, I....hey, did you hear something just now?''
The stranger slowly turns to look back down into the alley, in the direction of Alain and the door...

Ino cannot help her smile. These guards seem more kind and got her food so despite she wanted badly to mock them she holds herself.
"You really believe that after all this I will try to use magic? No I will not."
She wears the armour and moves her hands up and down she has never wore an armour before and the sensation was strange to her. Indeed was almost impossible for her to cast a spell not that she plans to cast one.
"Here you are."
When the guards untie her, Inovidil stretches her muscles, at least tries to do it because the splint mail makes the moves more difficult. Then she gets the glass of beer and drinks 2 big sips. She was really thirsty. Then she eats her meal without talking ti the guards. When she is done says:
"Thank you very much."
Looking at the chains frowns.
"If I keep the armor on can I sleep without being tied? I'm really exhausted. Don't worry I cannot cast spells while sleeping."

Shana leaps up with (slightly forced) cheerfulness, takes a swig of ale, and prepares to dance to the old bards tune.
She is constantly keeping an eye on the door, however, and if any of her friends come in, she will instantly be after news!

Ino-
One of the guards answers-
''You want to sleep in that armor? Alright, if you like, but it won't be comfortable. You'll get cramps and bruises...ugh. You'll stink, too, if it gets hot in here. Ugh....''
Another guard says-
''Don't try anything funny or we'll hit you on the head. Don't think you can outlast us- we're doing shifts, so there'll always be someone who isn't too tired, watching you. ''

Alain mumbles a poem to himself, and takes a step back, extinguishing his light.
>OOC:Alain cast Ghost Sound to the effect of an approaching carriage and horses from down the street heading towards the two men. If everything goes off without a hitch, He will proceed with the following, if not, I can edit it out.
Once the guards have turned away, he silently ducks down the right of the alley, towards the low fence and as quietly as possible, makes his way over it. Once on the other side, he seeks a spot to remain hidden.

Alain-
Alain's 'Bardic Mind-Trick' is successful; the gaurd looks the other way and Alain has time to scoot down the alley and hop the fence.
On the far side, Alain finds himself in a small vacant lot, which contains few scraggly trees. Mist lays thick on the ground here. All four side of the lot are bordered by crumbling buildings of wood and plaster. There are several doors or windows open in nearby buildings, but no lights.

The Old Shell
The graybeard closes his rheumy eyes and hums to himself to catch the tune, an old air of a strangely mournful quality. Old Gondegal's fingers trip lightly across the strings of his harp, making music to accompany his voice.
He begins to sing now, in a voice much clearer and stronger than his usual wavering speech:
'From the hag and hungry goblin
That into rags would rend ye,
And the spirit that stands by the naked man
In the Book of Moons - defend ye!
That of your five sound senses
You never be forsaken,
Nor wander from yourselves with Tom
Abroad to beg your bacon. '

Inovidil sighs.
"Ok, you can hit me if I try anything. As about the armour, well I have never had one, if I see it's uncomfortable to sleep with that I'll get it off and be tied again as before so you will be safe."
Sighing again she tries to get a comfortable position to sleep.
