Shana pauses for a moment, looking slightly mischievous, smiles at Alain and then says
"Yes... of course. Not here, though, I think? Why don't we find a bar or somesuch where we can get a little privacy"
She then slips her arm through Alain's and heds out, having given a perfect impression of being picked up by the rakish Alain...

Inovidil listens carefully at Delthrin. When the man sits down again and seems a bit more relaxed, she turns to Rardi and says:
"Well, it seems we are wrong, Mr Delthrin has nothing to do with the headless body. Am I right Sir?"
At her last word she turns to face the necromancer requiring his answer actually.

Blaise waits for Delthrin's response to Inovidil, then he speaks up. "My apologies, sir, for not introducing myself earlier as my colleagues were speaking. Blaise Redman, at your service." He inclines his head briefly. "I'm a humble researcher of the arcane, and it's a privilege to meet someone like yourself, especially someone who has used his knowledge to help his city. As we both know, there are practitioners of the Art who do not behave as generously."
He motions toward the paintings on the wall. "Your work, sir? Or are these paintings the handiwork of a friend? They intrigue me."

Alain returns the smile, his nervousness melting away into an expression of thankfulness. With a bit more confidence in his step, he leads Shana out the door of the Palace of Celestial Delights.kintire wrote:Shana pauses for a moment, looking slightly mischievous, smiles at Alain and then says

Blackpillars-
Delthrin smiles politely at Inovidil.
''I will make it plainer for you: I did not murder and behead any women in this last month, nor did I recover the body of any lover of mine from anyplace whatever. I have no certain knowledge of who or what might have killed any of the persons of which you speak. ''
To Blaise-
''I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Master Redman. The paintings were made by ...a child of mine. ''

The Palace...
''I dunno much about 'im. Just another customer.''
The doorman doesn't recognize the name Fortis, but he does remember seeing a gentleman matching the description. He hasn't seen that man in several days, or so he claims. He says-Archedius wrote:As Archedius leaves, he asks the Doorman about Fortis.

"Thank you, sir," says Blaise, taking one short sip of tea. "I know you've done much already, but can we count our your later aid in our investigation? I'm sure a mage of your experience has encountered many unusual things ... would you be willing to share with us any suspicions that come to mind about these acts?"

Inovidil thinks for a moment Delthrin's answer, the man was very clever and she doubt they could make him admit anything. So she says with a smile:
"Thank you very much sir, I was sure that we could count on your sincerity."

''Yes, I'll help you as I may. As for my suspicions....well, one of the bodies I saw...'
A flicker of emotion flashes across Delthrin's face, but he quickly regains his stoic demeanour. He continues,
''She was decapitated with a single swift stroke. Were the others you mentioned the same, I wonder? Even a skilled headsman, hale and strong, often takes more than one swing to do the job. This stroke was prefect, I'm sure of it. This raises in my mind the possibility we are dealing with someone posssessed of tremendous strength, or possibly equipped with an enchanted, or at least masterfully crafted, blade. This is purely speculative, of course.''

Delthrin nods politely in response to Ino's comment.
He drains his cup of tea, and stands to straighten his robes.
''I do hope you will excuse me, but I am afraid I have pressing business. My work, you understand. You may call upon me again latter , if you like. I suggest sending a messenger ahead, so that I'll be forewarned of your coming and may prepare for you a more suitable reception than this has been.''

The Old Shell-
It is early evening, the sky beginning to take on the character of dusk, as the party regroups in the common room of the Old Shell. The Shell isn't crowded this quiet evening- just the usual boarders and a handful of locals in for supper. Jamethon Moorkroft is already there, sitting beside the low fire in the great stone hearth, reading a book.

Alain, seeing Jamethon by the fire, moves to join him.
"Good Morning Jamethon. I trust you did not sleep well?" He snickers slightly at his own poor attempt at a joke. "That's one thing I haven't had since...hm. Well, it's been a long time." Alain reflect quietly for a moment, before signaling a server.
"Some bread and a mug of mulled wine please." He turns his attention back to Jamethon. "What is that you are reading?"

Jamethon doesn't laugh at Alain's joke, but neither does he display any obvious sign of annoyance. He merely shrugs and mutters-BigBadQDaddy wrote:Alain, seeing Jamethon by the fire, moves to join him.

''It isn't morning, you know.''
When asked about his book, he marks his place with a ribbon and and hands the book to Alain. The title is written on the spine in black ink, which sets off well against the yellowish leather of the binding. It reads:
