^Lucky duck! Nice roll Van
I'd like to roll a spot check to see if I see anyone out in the streets or figures ect. We don't want any more flaming horses running us over!!!

The best part is that the 19 comes I guess from the person with the lowest INT at the group lol but it seems he is a great observer!

Since Varian arrived with Xavril and ahead of the others, he would have already started working on breaking into the stables.

I have a +6 to open locks. I also would have asked the gnome to bust the lock if it was giving me too much trouble.
That 'memory' check gets a +3 from INT.

Well if Varian can't unlock it, Xavril will break the lock.

I put up a post of mine own. Figure those two are breaking/picking that lock open.

Right.
Smash it. We are going to leave town.

Hold up. Varian and Xavril have a head start on you guys. Meaning, we should be gone by the time you guys get to the stables if I am not mistaken.

Well, let's wait and see if my roll was enough to open the lock.
You might as well give a smash the lock backup roll, Steve.
I imagine that Raf will edit if he feels that it is necessary. He didn't know our plan, I guess.
Ah, okay, I was not sure if you were waiting for the others, or going your own way.
Just to be clear-
My intent was that Varian would have left the inn with the gnome while the other guests were messing around with the horse and the innkeeper. His plan was to grab his mule, and flee town. If a lock were to get in his way, he would pick it. Should that fail, a less subtle breaking-in would be his immediate next step. Break in, get the mule, leave town.

So I have 8 +3 an enormous 11, so prolly not. That is only if Varian can not open the lock.
