What do we know about Mastiffs? I assume they are easier to fight than wolves, but that's an assumption based on ... wishes. Does Fild has a clue?

Dogs this big could be just as dangerous as wolves if trained to fight. Perhaps even a little bit more dangerous , as these ones wear studded leather armor. It's likely these have been trained to maul burglars. Maybe even to kill.

Intimidation attempt, wiping blood on boot to make abundantly clear that unless the man takes Fild's advice, there'll be violence. And Fild is ready to act if the guy releases the dogs (which he considers the most probably outcome).
