That was quite awesome!
I think I've got it until the end... what happened?
I mean this part:
The thunder peals again.
A ball of lightning as big as a house falls from the clouds and lands atop the low heap of earth and fallen stones that was Elf Hill.

Bolts arc out from the lighting sphere, melting stones like wax and scorching the slain maggots into ash.
One arc hits the burning cart, sending the flames there higher as even the wheels burn.
The whole hill was ripped apart by the fiend's arrival, got that part.
But... do we have an inkling what this huge bolt that washes the plate clean is? Where it came from?
Is it Caine? Is it infernal? Is it manslayer? Is it something else?
Do we have any idea?

Stories about mages doing stuff and large balls of fire or storms or lighting wiping the slate clean abound everywhere of course, but could we figure which realm-magic-user's modus operandi is that lighting from stories?

That's a "nope" then.

So... what's the situation right now, according to Termelan's understanding? Have we won? Are we safe for the time? Should we start making introductions?

The battle seems over.

Wounded men. A few dead.
Surprisingly few.

Time for medics to work.

singing
[dice]0[/dice]
Meh, I have 17 charisma but have taken an extra slot. Is it a success? In any case, Termelan asked the other bard (forget her name) to help him. If she helps that would probably be a success.

Even if not, people may decide to join in anyway; I doubt when they gather and sing in taverns they sing as well. Termelan just wants to have a good time and celebrate life.

He can sing.

But maybe it takes him some additional time to shake off the effects of what he has been through.

Rolling again for you , to take effect a bit later.

In the meantime, the Bard of the Sielwode (NPC status, as Mike plays FOERDE again fulltime) sings.

A dirge, though, for the dead men.

[dice]0[/dice]
Good enough. No modifier, but just doing bard fu doesn't need a skill roll.

Save for men present

Term just had an encounter with Elvish mercurial, emotional nature.

He really has had almost nil experience with the Fair Folk.

This bolt stuff reminds me Filbert's bloodline theft just way bigger. Reaaaaaly don't like it!

How shadowworld looks like now?

Anything Filbert can roll to recognize the effect?
