I had a few emails with him in summer 2005, and that was very cool, friendly and fun. He was proud of my daughter when I told him at 4 years old, she did knew the type of breath for each evil dragons

(my daughter was prouder when I told her about his feelings about her child era accomplishment!)

He was then working with a Québec company called Alchemic Dreams (on a D&D software, I think?). I knew his taste for quality drinks, and after I had told him about Québec's great brews, I brought a few samples (a mixed six pack - St-Ambroise, Boréale Rouse and Unibroue) to the software company, who brought it to him the next time they met him.

This letter was in the box:

Hello Gary,

As discussed, here are a few beers from the Québec market:

- Three Boréales rousses (red ale, slight bitter ending)

- Three St-Ambroise (amber ale, more hop so a more bitter ending). Those six beers are now staples of my beer diet I hope you will like them.

- While I was at the store for these, I also saw another beer I like a lot: L’Eau Bénite (Belgium type, so two fermentations in the bottle. Strong but great!). You would like to know that “Eau Bénite” is translated as Holy Water in Shakespearian

It’s not a lot, but it’s with big thanks to creating this hobby I love since 1981. I’ve spent countless hours reading, writing or planning my next D&D game. I’m also one of the founder of the main Ravenloft fan site out there.

We are two DMs in our team. We share the same PC: when I’m DMing, my friend takes the PC and we switch role when the adventure is finished. It is the best way to DM I think, as you have time when you are on the players side to plan carefully the next adventure. And both DMs try hard to impress the other, in a Lennon-McCartney type, so it’s a great ride for everybody!

So in short, on behalf of my gaming team, and now my family too, a big thank you for these endless hours of fun. We played for nearly 25 years, and we plan to continue for at least twice the same amount of time

Something that makes me happy. Whatever RPG related site has memorials for Gygax. I mean the WWolf site, the Wizards site, even the RPGnow Newsettler.

We even started a campaign yesterday in memory of Gary Gygax.
