Back to Basics Chapter 1: Where are we ?

The Professor stops himself from needlessly using the scroll and with shaking hands he tucks the precious item in his robes for easier retrieval should the need arise.
"If we could gather all the children together I would like to make a quick headcount and address any obvious injuries. That goes for the rest of you as well. If anyone is hurt in any way please let me know and I will see what I can do. Otherwise we should press on. Who knows how organized these beast men can be. We may see a retaliatory strike from any who did not give pursuit."

Dalorna speaks-


''Right, that's just what I was thinking. We need to gather them as we move towards the village, since that's the way they ran. I can use Hobb's help in finding any stray children, I think.''

[Lord Skybolt]

With Hobbs help they find the rest of the Kids moving at a good clip for home as instructed by the party members . The party hustles quickly catch up to the kids after letting Arnulf rest after the fight for about minutes . He does this while Hobb finds the kids for his mistress from the air .

"Alright, now that we are all accounted for I suggest we move on. That is unless anyone has any injuries that require immediate attention."

Alia helps in shepherding the children back towards the village, as fast as we can without tiring them out

[VAN]

Sara counts the children and says:

"All the children I have seen captured are here and I'm quite sure all the monkey men have died, but tp be sure need to go back and this isn't the case now. Better head back as you said."

[Roofdrak]

Isidar looks at the others. “We can put our newly acquired nets in Ovina’s packs.” Isidar looks for the children who were riding Ovina before and puts them back onto the mule.

Dalorna fusses over Arnulf as if she were his mother. She insists on cleaning his wound while he rests, even if it's just a scratch.

Once the party has gathered all the children and is well on the way to the village, Dalorna quietly tells the others-


''After we get these children safely home, I suggest that all gather for a private talk about how it was we all arrived in this strange place- and what we are going to do next. ''

[steveflam]

"SIS! Stop fussing over that. It's just a scratch!"


"Oh for pete's sake, okay already! Get it over with!"

Arnulf sighs and huffs as his sister fusses over him.

[BigBadQDaddy]

"Seconded. I for one am very eager to learn of the circumstances of everyones arrival in hopes that the relate in some fashion to my own."

Sara checks one more time that she isn't hurt and then says:

"Totally agree. Since we are together better stick as a group."

Alia looks excited, and very thoughtful. Largely ignoring the others she seems to be concentrating on something as she walks back, occasionally looking closely at one of her companions as if assessing their appearance

[VAN]

Sara notices Alia's starnge behavior and she gets closer to her and asks:

"Does anything bother you Alia? Is something wrong? You seem concerned about something."

Alia glances up

"Oh! my apologies ma'am...did I miss something? I was just in the throes of composing the ballad to celebrate your great deeds... and those of the other heroes too, of course. I shall pay more attention in future ma'am!"

she bows deeply to Sara, palms pressed together

Arnulf walks along and is intrugued by what Alia has to say about writing about the whole party. Moving until he is walking next to her, he turns and asks "So, what did you sing about us so far? Can you tell me what you have so far?
