I'd wonder more about where she learned about gravitational anomalies.

Maybe Alanik Ray ended up in Lamordia at some point.

I think it is very obvious that you had some fun with those comments.

No walking dead, eh.

Well, in all fairness, Dementielu has been more the target of fiends and aberrations than the undead proper.

She just has to realize she's stuck in a life of...

ADVENTURE!

*Flapjack theme goes here*

Hey, ewancumming. Sorry I zapped your post in the other thread; we just try to keep the "story threads" and the "comment threads" separate. So--comments go here, the "Starcrossed" thread proper is for Isabella's story posts.

OOPS! Did I post there by accident? I'm very sorry; I know better than that.

Man, Marie's a unibrow away from becoming Bert. I dig how Satine is just smirking at her because she's still there in spite of everything.

And Fred is apparently Spider-man.

It's Christmastime! I have better things to do that sit around updating comics on time, and I hope you have better things to do than sit around and read them. So! The whole week is up now. Tide yourselves over by guessing what's going on or what domain all the coins are from or something.

Next Monday's comic will probably be up late. As in Tuesday. See ya 'round.

Interesting...

Marie's design has really improved. Maybe it's just the dark and the perspective, but she looks much more...feminine, without any real overt change. She's just drawn more comfortably in her clothes and way of standing, whereas earlier she was a bit rigid.

It's a subtle thing, but I dug it.

The Barovian coin's an easy one (nice details!), and I suspect that's a Borcan coin (w/ poisonous flower) before it. I'm visiting my folks and don't have my RL books with me to look up the others, though.

Huh. Now, thanks to this comic's currency talk, I'm wondering what Gundarak's pre-Conjunction coinage looked like, and how many of those coins are still in circulation. Presumably most of the coins on the Barovian-occupied side are being melted down and re-minted, as Strahd's tax agents get ahold of them, but there's bound to be a lot left over in Invidia or in hidden caches. G'hennan coins too, perhaps, in some of the domains near the Shadow Rift.

Before someone asks, the comic hasn't picked up a soundtrack. The music is what the characters hear as well.

Hrm. Cavernous rooms, copious dead people on biers, lone candles, clocks....

There's probably a perfectly innocent explanation for all of this.

It's a surprise party.

Just wait, they're all going to pop up and Marie's going to bring out the cake and it'll be swell.
