Local coins include:
Brass Follaro
Silver Penny
Gold Ducat
These correspond to standard copper pieces, silver pieces, and gold pieces for game purposes.
Foreign money that seems reliable will be accepted, but some sellers might insist on native coins or else charge a markup.
The party's money at the start of play is all either Poveran in origin or else comes from acceptable regional sources.

Re: P N Elrod
Note, if anybody takes the ground floor room, it is 3 silver.
It is also bigger than the upstairs rooms. Might be good for Tom, Gertie, and Gem if the siblings want to pay that extra silver coin.
It has a window that Gertie could use to come and go without being seen from the common room.
Or the could take a smaller room upstairs and be a bit cramped, with the dog joining them.
The stables isn't a kennel. Dogs might bother the horses.

Didn't you say that you changed gold to silver?

Prices dropped to match.
So two silver pence for three meals and a small room would be the equivalent two PHB gold pieces.
In 3E SRD, that's the price of " good" inn accommodations per day.

The penny here is based on the medieval denier, of course, and not the super low value coins contemporary Americans know as pennies.

Ok sorry just saw Tom's money left...he isn't that rich...he can pay 1sp but not 2. And will remain with 5cp. He needs to get money tomorrow or tonight if he is going with Gertie

He can either pool money with Gertie or else sleep on a bench/the floor in the common room.VAN wrote:Ok sorry just saw Tom's money left...he isn't that rich...he can pay 1sp but not 2. And will remain with 5cp. He needs to get money tomorrow or tonight if he is going with Gertie

Add five Brass Follaros/ a half-penny for meals for the second person. No additional charge for the double occupancy, but you must share a bed.steveflam wrote:Okay I looked at Gertie's sheetewancummins wrote:He can either pool money with Gertie or else sleep on a bench/the floor in the common room.VAN wrote:Ok sorry just saw Tom's money left...he isn't that rich...he can pay 1sp but not 2. Fild looks around for the usual robed quest giver.
Are we all gathered in the inn? I think the 4 of us made it there so far. Shouldn't we wait for the other two?

Re: P N Elrod
Gather info for Tom to get an idea about Povero in general, he wil ask the bartender for that when he books the room for himself and Gertie. He cannot afford buying people drinks now.

Detect noise for eavesdropping the inn's patrons conversations maybe he gets something juicy

Actions noted.
Would players prefer to wait for other players to post, or move ahead now?

I'm fine with crashing in a room somewhere with someone, though I think Alfonse is the kind of guy that would insist on getting the bed in the room.
