in the hall adjacent to the study-


Threan quickly locates the source of the noise: Rardi and Inovidil are wandering about the house. They seem to be looking for something...

[Rardi and Ino have emerged from the basement laboratory, and begun searching the ground floor of the house. As of yet, they've found no child. They do see light coming from a room nearby - the study, Ino may recall from her earlier visit and interview.]

Rardi is intent on what is happening around them. She hears voices coming from where the light is coming from under the door. Trying to be silent as possible, she whispers to Inovidil "Psst, ye hear voices from o'er there, ahind tha door?"

As she says so she moves towards the door, hand on her mace. Not really worried, she casts Detect Evil and waits for the results.

"Yes I do, it's the study there."

Inovidil tries to move as silently as possible and puts her back to the wall. At the same time she readies a lightingbolt.

Threan moves out of hiding to alert Rardi and Ino to his presence and Says "Hey, I've brought Blaise, Ironheart and Shana after gathering them together when I heard that you guys tripped an alarm here while on recon at a building for the smuggling case . We have been looking for you since we got in here . We had a fight with some ghouls/ghasts while on our way in here . "

After he gets that out he asks" So did you run into Delthirin ? "

Inovidil drops her spell and goes closer to the gnome.

"Threen! Nice to see a familiar face here and I'm glad you came.Yes actually we met Delthrin. We were at his laboratory where the necromancer did his vivisect experiments. He had a mindflyer in a cage that we freed, it didn't attack us. It just required to get Delthrin with him and Archedius wanted to join them, don't know why. The illithid told us that Delthrin was helping the orphans donating money and the attack was provoked by the Raven Queen. I don't believe him though, I found a slipper of a child in the lab and 2 headless bodies one of a man and one of a woman. I don't know if Delthrin had to do something with the attack but for sure got the bodies. Lets go meet the others now and search the rest of the house."

With that she steps in the study and greets the rest of the party. Noticing how hurt was everyone she adds:

"Rardi, can you heal them? I need a moment to check the study. Maybe there are documents here or other important things."

"What the? Whutter ye doin here? An yes of course I kin heal them." Rardi approaches the rest of the party. She really looks like she's had a time of it too. Eyeing Blaise, she exclaims "Did someone eat ye?" Then she realizes perhaps the undead she turned may in fact be the reason these fellows had a bad time, but refrains from commenting.

Rardi starts with 2 3rd level cures

"What does two headless bodies have to do with Delthirin any way ? "
"Why did you let him take Delthirin ?, And what do you mean the Mind Flayer required Delthirin ? " Threan says incredulously to Inovidil .

Without stopping her search Ino replies:

"I guess Delthrin got the bodies after the attack maybe to study them or do experiments on them. As about the mindflyer, well he insisted to take Delthrin, guess to interrogate him. I know nothing about illithids, but both Archedius and Rardi seemed ok with that. Personally I wanted to get him back so we could interrogate him ourselves but he talked to Archedius telepathically and told him the things I have already told you, that Delthrin had nothing to do with the attack and he was helping the orphans donating money. But I don't know if we can trust an illithid, it may has said these things so it could get Delthrin and interrogate him itself or with Archedius. Why are you so worried Threen?"

"Ye should have seen the sorry state the Illithid was in. We freed it and I even healed it. I am positive it could have harmed us, but didn't. I got no idea what the mind flayer wants with that bastard but whatever happens to him, he richly deserves. I trust in Archedius and his judgement. If need be we can most proabably find Archedius through divinations."

"Why did you come to this house in the first place ?"

"Also why did you let him take Delthirin since your the one's who broke into the house of a private citizen(Delthirin) in the first place ? "

"What has headless bodies have to do with Delthirin, besides him being a necromancer anyway ?"

"Oh and did you not notice some kind of Alarm while you came in ?"

"We came here because when I saw Delthrin going to Orphanage and go out with a sack that might have a child inside. I didn't want to risk have a child prisoner or have experiments to it. I have found a child slipper in the laboratory, so my theory seems to stand. Also Delthrin had a kyton in here, a devil so he is a pretty evil wizard. I haven't noticed an alarm, we set off a trap and guess this was the alarm. As about the headless bodies, all started from there. Our first mission was to find out what happened, who beheaded them. Someone has talked to the militia though and we have gotten another mission. Anyway, I'm not sure that Delthrin has killed these people, but even get the bodies and do experiments on them is a crime. I wanted to get him to justice and get more information from him about all this strange situation, but we didn't have time. The illithid required him guess because it wanted revenge or information. You cannot imagine in what bad shape it was when we found it. Hope Archedius is safe and he can learn something more."

"So let me get this straight . You guys let an eater of humanoid brains, an evil creature take an upstanding citizen of this town prisoner in his own home without proof of any wrong doing on the citizens part ?" Threan asks in a deadpan voice .

Inovidil's eyes go wide.

"A what? A brain what? Illithids do...they...eat...ah...brains? Are you sure about that Threen? I know nothing about them. But doubt Archedius will have permitted that. He seemed ok with the decision to give Delthrin to Okithuru and he wanted to join it. Threen, tell me honestly, we need to be worried about Archedius too? The illithid said that he will not harm us and he could have done it actually, but didn't. It just wanted a box with 3 stones that was it's equipment I think and then Delthrin. I'll try to scry on Archedius first thing tomorrow morning and we will teleport where he is and get him immediately back!"

"Whatter ye mean it eats brains??" Rardi's voice booms out loudly.
"Tha infermation woulda bin mighty helpful earlier, fer Odin's sake. Well now we know about Illithids." The dwarf sighs.

Turning to Threan she says "Uh I dun care what ye think about this scumbag, he's evil and done evil. Whatever the mindflayer does to him he deserves it an rightfully earned it. Now if ye'll excuse me, I gots ta see about seeing how to contact Archedius."

Rardi turns on her heel and stomps back out the way the rest of the party entered.
