front of house/verandah-

Rardi, seeing the woman with the bundle flee across the lawn, makes a snap decision and goes into the yard to stop the fugitive. The dwarf has chosen to ignore the noises coming from within the house, at least for now.

Praying to her god to freeze the limbs of the running woman, Rardi is not disappointed-
The woman freezes in place, motionless and silent on the starlit sward. The bundles she had been carrying slips from her hands and falls to earth- whereupon it stands and begins to pull at the frozen woman's right arm! The bundle is , in fact, a child [or possibly a hafling] in a dark dress [blue or maybe black].

"You there, laddie or lassie, it's ok. I won' 'urt ye. Me name is Rardi, what's yers?" Rardi says this in a soothing voice at the same time, casts Charm on the infant or halfling. Then she approaches with a smile on her face, arms at her side. Once there she gets a good look at the infant/halfling and the woman at the same time.

Sorry guys, we need information and haven't had much luck really. Rardi figures all of you can take care of yourselves, especially with Ironheart there ;)

The charm spell does not seem to have the desired effect.
The young girl in the midnight blue dress hisses at Rardi and continues to tug hard on the sleeve of the frozen woman. The little girl is wearing a lace veil that completely obscures her face, and a scarf that hides most of her black hair.

The adult woman, of course, doesn't move. Rardi does get a better look at her: a pretty brunette in her twenties, dressed in nightclothes. She has a vaguely familiar face.

"Lassie, ye dun need ta hiss at me. Is this yer ma or yer nanny? I said me name's Rardi, what is yers? I won' urt ye. Like baubles? I gots a nice one I kin give ye if ye answer me some questions."

Rardi looks at the woman close up, keeping an eye on the child.

The strange child continues to hiss from behind her veil. She makes nothing like words- indeed, she barely sounds human.

Rardi is now fairly sure that she's either seen the adult woman before, or at least had someone describe this person's features in detail.

Rardi frowns at the veiled child. WIth her right hand she removes a cheap gem from her bag, holding it out to the child? Whatever the childs reaction, she will attempt to remove the veil and get a closer look at the child.

[OOC: Doing an Int check to remember the woman, ewan. You can rolll it. ;)]

The veiled girl will not take the gemstone.

Rardi snatches away her veil and sees the face that had been hidden.

The flesh is waxen, with a pallor like that of an embalmed corpse. The black lips are peeled back in a rictus over a full set of perfect, white teeth. The edges of her face show signs of grafting or surgery- scars running all around the face. There is evidence of multiple surgeries- traceries of delicate surtures at various spots. Bright eyes stare fixedly at Rardi. The girl hisses again.

[As for the other woman, Rardi cannot quite seem to place her features...]

"Whut kinna sick man are ye, Delthrin?," Rardi mutters under her breath. Noone deserves this fate, not even a child. Rardi brandishes her symbol at the child, gauging it's reaction.

Ok Religion check 27 to see if it is in fact undead.

Once the child reacts, Rardi takes a decision. Looking at the woman, she tells her "Lissen up. I dun agree with what's appened to the lil one, but she dint deserve this fate. I'm gonna let ye go with her on one condition. Ye gets outta the city an dun come back, ye git me? Here's a little something for ye to help, tis the best I kin do unner the circumstances."

The dwarf reaches into her bag and removes two nice looking gems, then releases the woman from the Hold spell. She places them in the woman's hand. "Now git afore I change me mind."

Inovidil checks if there is any chair in the study. Spotting one, she moves beside it and waves her hands pointing at the feet beneath the 2 undead that attack Blaise.

"Blaise, come here I can help you."

''In the Mists? No, Alain, it's here on this world of Toril. The isles of Lantan lie far to the southwest of Cormyr, at the verge of the Trackless Sea. It's a long journey, but we could get passage, if you'd like to visit someday. ''

Jamethon has a sip of his drink before adding-

''Did you know that this world is ROUND? I saw proofs of this in Lantan...just amazing! They say that one could, in theory, sail all the way around the world, and end up where one had begun. ''
Alain gives an interested cock of his head. His mind wanders at the idea of knowing so much about his own world. Maybe their own world was round, but no one could find out for the blasted mists surrounding the core lands.

He lets Jamethon control the conversation for a while, listening to the man share bits of his knowledge about the world they currently traveled. With a change of subject, Alain comes back around to meet Jamethon's eyes.

"Yes, although honestly this was never really a habit of mine. Just a result of circumstance. It seems whenever all of us get together my sleep schedule changes...or outright disappears."

Ironheart will continue to laugh, and to swing the giant club against the revenants. Brain mass whirls around his arms...

Shana shifts rapidly away from the things until she is out of reach. At that, she reappears with a glowing sparkle at the end of each finger. they leap towards the revenant Ironheart is pounding leaving trails of sparks in the air before slamming into it with sharp explosions [Magic missile on the evil thing-o-death!]

The two swordsmen attacking Blaise slip on the newly greased floor, tumbling over one another in a clatter of arms. They rise to their feet slowly, fumbling and slipping. Blaise is able to safely back away from them, without risking an attack.

Ironheart's oar breaks off at the end when he strikes his target with it. The blow breaks the creature's neck, which does little to stop the onslaught. Shana's missiles blast it, yet it keeps on coming.

The other one attacking Ironheart- whose chest was laid open by Ino's sound lance- joins its companion in a coordinated strike. Open-chest swings low as Broken-Neck swings high. Both swords strike the big barbraian, though neither wound is deep.

the Old Shell-

Jamethon says-

''Well, what of your travels in this new world, Alain? What have you learned?''
