5 children, 5 domains, right?

Invidia: Malocchio
Borca: The Jongleur
Falkovia: Viggo Drakov
Kartakass: The Beast of the Hills

Who's the 5th?

My vote's for Chezna the Blood-Cat, since she has the requisite Vistani heritage and her red hair could be a subtle mark of her fiendish blood.

But if you really want a stumper, try to figure out the other EIGHT of them native to the seas, the clusters, and the Islands of Terror that it can be deduced would appear in each of the subsequent gazetteers.

I was just reading Gaz IV when I noticed a quote at the very beginning of the Invidia section:

"S- My thoughts turned inward, for Invidia seemed likely to hold some of the darkest secrets of all the core.

Azalin- More than you are anyone can possibly imagine, my little scholar. The secrets you uncover may yet shake this wretched prison to its foundations

Parallel to what we've been talking about. I'm convinced that Azalin is looking to set the other lab rats free, giving the DPs hell.

It's Gaz 5, actually  And the quote is:

"Tell this to your master when you join him in the grave...
That which is hidden
Must not be found;
That which is chained
Must remain bound!"

The way I interpret that is: "that which is hidden" are the Gentleman Caller's children, and "that which is chained" are one or more darklords.

Oh yes, you are right. I must re-read my Gazetteers

And it will be no news if I tell you that I see the same meaning for the verse.

One of the great things about being a work-for-hire freelancer is that none of the material I've written for publication over the years is mine to give you. We asked; they said no; that's the end of the story.
 Thank you for the info and your effort, though... Anyone joining me in storming the WW building?

Why Borca would get crushed in the looming war of the western Core really isn't a mystery -- it's pretty explicitly laid out in Gaz IV.

I think the children of the Gentleman Caller (an ilustrious unknown character for me) aren't the keys, since if u look at malocchio aderre history we will see that: if they destroy the darklord they assume, and them they are too bounded.

And... centering a entire setting about one family (an rarely (if) direct mencioned GC + childrens) and a hunter (isolde), would be the greatest mistake of the world, beside i would personally burn all Ravenloft stuff that i got if that had happened and would migrate to another setting.

The fiends have something the other creatures do not have: large magical powers, but also their most trusted allies: their reality wrinkle...

If they all act in some kind of cunjunction, they can break barriers.

I believe "powerful outsiders" got reality wrinkles... not "fiends", so "Ravenloft native fiends" don't have reality wrinkles, and in my opinion half fiends (like the children) shouldn't have reality wrinkles, since they aren't outsiders.

I think you are wrong: I just reread the RLCS under "fiend" and "reality wrinkle" and it doesn't say as you say, i.e. it doesn't make a difference between native fiends and outsiders.

And Maloccio has a reality wrinkle, by the way ;)

I suspect that this is because he is a dukkar, not because he is a half-fiend. Generally, only Outsiders with either the Evil or Good subtype have reality wrinkles, and the Half-Fiend template grants neither.

Isolde is a celestial being and has reality wrinkle affecting the carnival.

About malocchio having reality wrinkle i agree with Malus Black that it is because he is a Dukkar (+ son of a Darklord), and not because he is a half-fiend.

The criteria for reality wrinkles have been discussed numerous times (on various threads and boards), but Malus has the details primarily correct. An Outsider which has either the Evil or Good descriptor (but does not have the Mist descriptor) has a reality wrinkle. Therefore, a pit fiend (evil) would have a reality wrinkle but a fury (evil, mists) would not.

As far as being native outsiders to the demiplane, I would add the mist descriptor to these outsiders, but this addition would be merely my own houserule to prevent too many reality wrinkles.
