Now included: a prestige class of my own making that converts magical spells into knowledge. Hmmm.

Are there any additional sections that still need to be written? I'm afraid that I really didn't understand the last grouping ("The following are still being written"), whether that indicates that someone has already signed up for it but hasn't yet completed the writing or if it indicates that no one has even signed up to take that section yet.
Anyway, I'm willing to help if there are still things to be done (although, with the research time I'd need, perhaps I'd be less than helpful...).

Having been insanely business with Other Things (read: work, school, family), I wasn't even aware this was in the offing. I'm very eager to see it!
I'm a graphic designer/illustrator as well, and would be happy to donate some work, be it layout (I'm a wiz with Adobe InDesign) or actual art, if it's needed, Dion. Just let me know.

I think we all want to see it done, so if you need any help, please let us know. I guess the brothers of the Fraternity (myself included) will be more than willing to lend you a hand.Dion of the Fraternity wrote:Trust me, it will be released.

Help definitely needed, har har har.
Here's the rub: it's a 75% fluff book which means 25% or so is devoted to stats in 3.5e (possibly turned to 4e, but I'm still not familiar with the rules as I'm still reading the 4e books). Definitely no character/monster stats or "forbidden lore."
My main reference is "Player's Guide to Eberron," where everything about the setting is detailed without giving too much info for players, so I suggest reading that, too.
As I'm writing this I'm also writing the "Planes and the Realms Outside" entry, creating a short story about a Breland artificer and a Thrane warforged trapped in a bank of Mists just outside Mordent. Of course, none of the names are actually used (the warforged's nature is only implied; "he is part-artifice, perhaps he may know nothing of fear.")

OH MY GOD AN ACTUAL UPDATE!!!
So, it's been a year.
Yes, I've had doubts about finishing this project, ever since 4e came out. And the reactions in FoS about 4e coming out.
But I've decided to continue on the project. What's new, you ask? just one major change, actually: after going over various books in the new edition, I've decided that all stats in the Guide are now in 4e. I'm convinced of the new edition's viability and enjoyability, so I'm making the change. Converting the 3.5 stats I've already placed is a [foul-mouthed woman], but it's going steady.
Secondly, I now have help from a very knowledgeable Fraternity member. At the moment I won't reveal his identity, but suffice to say that I really do appreciate the help he'll be giving me.
So yes, the project is alive. I'll give more updates soon.

Great work, Dion! Don't let the hoopla about the system put you off. The system's got people who like it. It's got people who dislike it. But when you're doing something like this in your own time, to make things easier for people, everybody respects and admires this great work. Keep it up, and I wish you all the speediest progress with your labor of love!Dion of the Fraternity wrote:
