The Office-

Jon tosses and turns, his painful injuries making it difficult to fall asleep. After a little while, fatigue overcomes pain and the boy goes under. He's still asleep when the next member of the party to return enters the office....

"Nothing about this seems familiar, which I suppose is a blessing in disguise," Benn says, stepping towards the door. "This is not the work of an Incabulite, I am fairly certain. Whoever did this is a monster. There can be no doubt of that." He nods in agreement with Dorgio. As he starts down the stairs towards the exit, he looks at Norzak with some concern. "Do you need some assistance with that one?" he says, pointing towards the bound man. "You were lying near death a moment ago, after all."

He follows Benn down the stairs, and will help with the thug. "Remember, we want him alive." He turns back towards the girl's room. "For now, anyway."

With that, he'll head back towards the office along with Benn, Norzak, and the thug.

Alain comes back by a different route and checks out the area around the office to make sure their is no one taking undo interest in the groups movements . Also to make sure no one see's him when he goes back into the office . Alain knocks before entering, and after he shuts the door behind him, he turns to Benn " So did you see if Jon came back here . He loked pretty bad from the fall he took . " Alain then precedes to check for Jon himself if he doesn't get a positive response .

the office-

Alain's conversation with Benn is interrupted by a groan from the tied up thug lying face down on the floor in one corner of the main office room.

''Ohhhhhhhh...uuuuunnnhhhh...''

After a moment, the man regains full consciousness. He twists his head left, then right, gazing about the room with fear written plainly across his face. His helpless attempts to escape from his bonds soon cease, and he speaks-

''Oh! You lot, damn! Listen, I'll tell you what you want, just untie me and let me go afterward, agreed? That's a good bargain, right?''

The man's demeanor changes from controlled fear to near panic. He renews his futile struggle with his bonds. He opens his mouth as if to speak, then swallows his words. Gulp. His eyes dart back and forth, looking for a way out of the room, even though he hasn't yet been able to get free of his ties.

Dorgio takes his place near the thug, then lights a cigarillo. He takes a long, luxuriant drag, and exhales a billow of sweet smoke. He eyes the thug, trying to discern if the thug wants a smoke himself. "Maybe, my friend, maybe you are finding yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe you, you aren't such a bad guy. But your boss, Van Diecks, he is...not a kind man to his women.

"But you already knew that, didn't you? Those screams every night must have been hard to ignore. But maybe you didn't know, maybe you thought it best to mind your own business.

"But maybe," he says, his eyes hardening to slits, "maybe you know where Van Diecks fled to. Maybe you can redeem yourself."

Another drag. "Maybe."

Norzak spits in the mans face. He removes his dagger and just holds it in front of the man's face. "Now by me reckinin' ye dolt of a boss is responsible fer lotsa damage. MOst 'a it ta ladies who ain' deservin' it. Yer choice ta work fer that scumbig, well that's a real bad choice. He shot up me face real bad. Thanks ta me pal, I's good but the scar's still there. See that armored man there?" He points to Cirdan.

"Well he might not kill yecause he's got honner'. I's got none honner fer tha likes of you, unnerstood?" The dwarf looks at the others now. "He don' deserve ta live. Find out what ye want from 'im then 'es mine." He makes to move away then punches the man in the nose then kicks him in the crotch before moving away to let the others question him.

"Ye make me sick ta me stomach, bub. Ye chose tha wrong idjit ta serve."

Something seems to change with Cirdan in this moment...

His heavy armor rattles, and he makes a step forward, a gesture of pure violence.

"No. He's MINE."

Then Cirdan rushes to the prisoner, brutally pulling the man up from the ground, and having him hang in the air like a broken puppet.

Doing nothing. Just holding the man there, the grotesque helmet hiding any human expression.

"Tell us everything, or I'll feed you to the rats in our basement!"

The man, tightly bound and held aloft, can do nothing to save himself. He whimpers pitifully, then begins to confess...

''I never laid a hand on those girls- that was always Van Diecks. He's crazy, I tell you! Ever since the old patron, Malreux, brought on that Doctor, things have gone strange. Van Diecks, he's begun collecting antiques, they say. I don't know where he is now, unless maybe he's hiding on his houseboat, or else he's gone to see the Doctor. I'm not lying- I swear it to Ezra! ''

Norzak growls "I say ye know more, scum! Ay, elf, lemme take a finger, or a hand even..... I still wanna try that soup I bin talkin' bout, bub."

Norzak approaches the man, flaunting his dagger and turning his back to him, looking at the others and winking and adding "Mebbe a toe too. Whatter ya think?" Then he turns back to the man with the dagger held in his hand, and waving it hypnotically in front of the man's face, back and forth.

Thank you so much!

For a moment, Cirdan's eyes seem flicker ruby-red under the vizor.

"Swear to ME!"

With that, he slams the prisoner against the wall.

One time, two times.

The man should be pretty battered when he lets go of him...

Visibly trembling, even under his armor, Cirdan turns around to Norzak back.

"You can have him when he has brought us to Van Dieck, not earlier."
