Hmmm, unlikely. 15 damage is going to be a bit beyond Nicodemus' capabilities at this level.

Ammanas and Nicodemus have saved Boiros life the last night so he kinda feels he ows them. But on the other hand he doesn't want the Legate get his anger to the villagers so for now will take Caitlin's advice and do nothing but if he suspects that Ammanas or Nicodemus are about to die he will ask permission to heal them.

Boiros did not understand that Otto had already stopped attacking Ammanas. Of course it makes no sense to cut a man down and then order him bound if you are going to just keep chopping him. But Boiros couldn't understand the order given, because he doesn't speak Darkonese. That makes sense.

I'm also going to wait with my response for Rafe to get back to us. Otto's minimum damage (3d6+6 = 9) is greater than Nicodemus' maximum hit points so it's unlikely my attack will go off. So, I don't want to describe any actions when I am likely to be at -8 HP. In either case, it will be up to Boiros and Caitlyn to see us through the situation.

Well i'm not sure there's a fight just yet. Nicodemus just came forward and asked to be able to check if I'm ok. Not sure why they'd still attack. *shrugs* Yes, we need to wait for the Raf+9.

Otto isn't a mind reader. His readied attack was tripped off by the dramatic intervention, with no time for conversation.

The cane's in a defensive position not a hostile position.... though that didn't help Ammanas huh? Guess Otto hasn't taken basic fighting to know body language. It helps for being a mind reader.

A Question though, what is the bonus for being defensive again? +4 AC? Or was that fighting defensively? Gtg Thanks!

I guess Ammanas didn't take 'basic common sense' to know when not to provoke a fight he isn't going to win.? It helps for not getting killed.


Seriously, though-

Even jumping in to defend/rescue Ammanas is a hostile action.
Physically interfering with the execution of justice and the operation of lawful authority is a crime.
