"The boy is hurt?" Norzak looks hard at the man. "The boy is hurt.... yer life is moot, bub. Finish with this scumbag, Benn. My turn next. None wanna seein me do it, leave. Else ye kin stay an watch him die."

Bennedict's eyes close in irritation, his concentration distracted from the prisoner. "Perhaps if you are so concerned you could go see to him?" he mumbles under his breath. "I doubt murdering this one will do anything for the young man's well being."

His eyes reopen, looking back at the man. "Now, you were saying?" The archivist, however, keeps his attention on the dwarf, watching for any sign of trouble.

Jonathan begins to stir, looking into the eyes of Dorgio. Magic, Jon thought, I've felt this type of healing before. The boy pulled himself up and staggered towards the door of Norzaks room. The scene before him brought Jonathan to full attention. He had only a few seconds to act, he was sure.

"Norzak don't kill him....yet. If he's lying about where van dieks is then we've lost our lead." The boy walks casually over to the tied up thug, but his eyes turn to Norzak.

"I'm so glad you're alive." The boy hugs the dwarf like a son might hug his long lost father.

After a moment Jonathan turns back to the thug. Suddenly the boy's dagger is in his hand and without hesitation he slides the blade slowly into the fat part of the prisoners leg.

"There, that hurts but you won't die. In fact I have the divine ability to make sure you stay ALIVE during everything we can think to do to you. Do you understand? We will check these places you have told us about, and if you are lying..."

He slides the blade in a little more, making sure not to go near the inner thigh of the man. Jonathan had seen what a cut on that part of the leg could do.

"Shhhhh Shhhhh. You don't have to talk anymore, you just have to be telling us the truth. You are telling the truth, right? Shhhh Shhhh. Just blink once for yes and twice for no....there you go, it's gonna be okay."

Jonathan suddenly realizes the others are staring at him. He looks to Norzak for approval.

Norzak nods at the Jon. "Ye better be thankin ye lucky stars an this here boy ye be alive, bub. An Benn, ya better be really quick if'n ye thinkin' bout stoppin' me tha next time. This was a waste of time, I'll be at the pub" With that he turns and exits the building.

Dorgio claps Jon on the shoulder before the boy walks into the common room. "You did well lad. Now go easy, you are not quite whole yet. We'll be patching you up better soon, but I need to check on the girl."

After that, he lets the boy see to his business, but he keeps an ear trained to the doorway. If he's needed, he's sure there will be screams.

He then looks at Marie, approaching her slowly, making no sharp, sudden movements. "Hello, Marie. Are you remembering me? Is there anything we can be helping you with?"

Cirdan breathes out heavily.

He walks over to Ben and the prisoner.

"I usually don't drink, but tonight I could need a shot, at least right now.
Would you accompany me?"

Bennedict intones a hurried prayer and moves forward to touch the prisoner. There is no apparent effect....

"Where are you going Norzak? We should make haste to Van Dieks's boathouse! The fiend may still be there and he may not have the ability to have his wounds healed such as we do! I'm not waiting for him to return the favor of our failed ambush! This man," Jon removes the knife from the prisoners leg, "he just told us Van Dieks knows about our office! WE GOT TO GO NOW!" Jon looks to Alain for back up.

The prisoner is curled up in a fetal position, weeping and mumbling. He isn't speaking clearly now. His left thigh is oozing blood from the deep knife wound Jon inflicted a moment ago.

Jonathan sees the prisoner slipping. "Dorgio. can you heal him as you did me? I don't want him to die....I wasn't trying to really hurt him...." The boy seems highly remorseful.

"Wanna go to tha botahouse? We go now. Else Imma goin ta drink. Van Dieks is mine, unnerstood?" Norzak will wait 30 seconds.

"Lead on Norzak. Van Dieks is all yours. I'm just glad you're okay. Lets go get this villian." Jonathan nods to Alain to let him know he is to follow Jon and Norzak as far behind and stealthily as possible.

Bennedict looks gratefully at Jonathon, the tension of the moment released. "You are right, of course," he says, mopping sweat from his brow with a handkerchief. He looks down at the obviously lame prisoner. He reaches down, intoning a prayer to Ezra to close the wounds, but not heal the man completely. "But by my reckoning we have two stops tonight. One at the boathouse, one at the Court of Crows." He hefts his crossbow, slapping it against an open palm.

"Tonight we settle scores."

"We shouldn't split our party, it went badly that way last time." Jon nods in response to Benn, then nods at the prisoner. "Van Dieks is our enemy tonight. Let us make haste. I assume everyone is coming? Our prisoner isn't going anywhere." Jon moves next to Norzak, following the dwarf with awe in his eyes.

Alain nods in understanding and follows them at a safe distance to keep their alliance secret . Also to make sure they not being tailed, or observed by any other criminals in their approach to the boat house .
