I'm sorry Renn is such a jerk, Adam. Funny, I don't feel bad when my character murders indiscriminately, but I'm uncomfortable when he's a little rude.

Clearly Renn could use further instruction of courtly manners.

Safana will retain concentration as long as possible, while she spiderclimbs quickly away. She will try to move from building to building, slipping rapidly across the hardest ground she can find when that isn't possible (as I assume it will not be from the castle to the town)

Assuming no one stops Foerde he will leave and return to the inn to fetch his horse. He plans on setting out immediately and cutting through the countryside.
It will take to long to follow the roads. He plan's on traveling light and quick. Maybe even have more then one horse so he doesn't have to stop. He will acquire additional horses from the Cuirceanites. If they ask he will tell them it because he is going to join Grand Master Fhylie in the north.

What happened to Foerde's mission to try an rescue Gale from the elves with Roald and Cormac?
EDIT: NVM, read OOC before IC.

Foerde doesn't want to wait a week. It will only take him 8 hours by horse to get there. That and it is really hard for him to be so nice and proper.

Ha, after so many years of playing a genuinely good guy in Ewan's Ravenloft campaign, it's a ton of fun to play a character who's much more morally ambiguous and much less crippled by existentialism than Dorgio.

Well, Carlion did send an invading force of goblins and evil knights into Renn's homeland. That's as good a reason as any not to play nice.
I think Roald is the only person there who does not have a strong personal reason to hate Carlion.

Neither Filbert does, he knows that he is responsible for many war crimes as long as for Devlin's father murder but he doesn't have personal grudge with him. Which doesn't mean he likes him of course, just doesn't hate him so strongly as Renn does. He hates him less than Riegon that did such atrocities with the women and the babies.

Well there's that like you and Van said, but that's not all. Carilon is at heart a politician and a smooth talker. In Renn's view, treating Carilon nicely opens the door for the prisoner to start talking, persuading, bargaining, and lots of other gerunds. So Renn thinks it's better to keep Alam feeling isolated and threatened.
And Renn sees Carilon's execution as the swiftest way to end the war. If we ransom him back, he'll just be up to his same old tricks. This is the guy who murdered Gilgead Flaertes in cold blood and strung up a bunch of innocent women and children within view of Devlin during the siege, just to try to intimidate Devlin into surrendering. After all that, Renn doesn't exactly see Carilon as a noble adversary.
If Carillon dies, then Alamie will be in chaos as Carilon's underlings vie for power. I think he has heirs but I don't think that would stop certain faction from trying to exert more power, like that merchant church. Might not be too hard for Tuornen's forces to exploit that and bring a swift end to the war.
Of course, OOC I think Renn's being a little extreme, but that's the fun.

Strategically I think Renn is right actually, isolate him will be for the best just Filbert doesn't know much about war strategy and how to deal with prisoners and also he is feeling guilty for killing Riegon so inconscientiously it's like amendings for him.

Filbert doesn't lie when he says that Riegon isn't assassinated since he has tried to escape, it wasn't a cold blood murder.
We will make sure Carillon is able to drink his wine and have a lovely breakfast just before he get hanged!
Has Roald already send someone to call Archprelate?

I've skipped ahead to the night.
The Archprelate had a brief private meeting with Duke Carilon, and then left Caer Haes.
