Before morning, when the horizon started to barely get gray, a light rain started dropping. The drops were cold and large similar to tears dropping from a thousand dead eyes, hidden behind a pale, gray veil of clouds.
As the very first rays of an anemic sun were trying to pierce the mists and cloud, whomever was keeping watch heard light feet running and panting breaths as two small silhouettes were outlined through the gray bark of the trees. While the rest of the group was roused from their uneasy sleep, two kids, a visibly shaken girl with a younger boy, close in with fast steps. They stop once they notice you.

Your eyes are drawn towards toward the pair, standing in the middle of the still sleeping forest. They are looking at you indecisively. The boy is weeping and clutching a stuffed doll. After shushing the boy, the girl turns to you and says, “There’s a monster in our house! It's there!” and turns to point towards the west, although you can't see far in the darkness and mists.
