[VAN]

"If there was a way to open this lock I think I could have opened it Isidar. I tried for 2 minutes but in no vain. I'm afraid can be opened only by magic, maybe was even locked with magic who knows."

[ewancummins]

''As I said, we need better tools; a chisel, a crowbar, something like that. This place was a mine, and it seems to have been abandoned in a hurry- why else would clothing, papers, and a locked safe have been left behind?The miners may well have left tools elsewhere in the mine. After we've finished searching this room, I suggest we go have a look down the other passageways, deeper in the mine.."

[VAN]

"Sounds like a plan."

[Roofdrak]

Perhaps the gricks presence forced the miners out. Turning to Dalorna and the professor, Is it possible for you to see if this lock requires magic? Whatever in it must be important if it is locked so securely.

[ewancummins]

Dalorna answers Isidar-

''If we come back tomorrow, I can take a look at the safe to check for traces of magic. Really, though, I think it's most likely that the safe is simply locked, and, well, hard to open. That means it is a good place to store valuables. I wonder what could be inside. Silver from the miners' payroll? The deed to the mine? We could try to shift the safe, heavy as it is, and listen for rattling sounds..."

She pauses her speech and turns towards Sara,

''Hey, Sara, why don't you try to open this lock."
She points at the top drawer of the desk.

'' We aren't in a hurry, and I'm curious as to what might be in there. "

[VAN]

"Will do, just hope the lock isn't like the one at the safe box that I really doubt is simply locked. I have used all my skills and took my time trying to open it and nothing."

She goes to the drawer and tries to open it.

[BigBadQDaddy]

"I could try tomorrow as well." The Professor adds. "Though I am leaning towards doubt that the drawer is magically sealed. Unless of course the foreman happened to be a practitioner which seems unlikely. It would have been far easier to procure a very sophisticated lock than to contract a spell caster to enchant the lock."

[VAN]

"Have you guys noticed the 2 pairs of slippers? They seem to have been used recently."

[VAN]

"The slippers have a layer of dust on them guys but still are in good shape I don't believe they are here a century! So I think someone was here recently, andby recently means less than a century!"

"I will check if the drower is safe to open now."

[BigBadQDaddy]

Looking at the slippers and to the two young ladies inspecting them the Professor adds, "Now this was unexpected. Perhaps a vagabond? Tell me, what quality are they?"

What is in the drawer? Isidar joins those by the desk.

When Sara opens the drawer she does not see much except for an apparently empty drawer . While Dalorna, Isidar and Huln see a hard to see sliding panel in the bottom of the draw .

''I think the bottom of the drawer has a moveable section, Sara. It looks as if you could wiggle it open with your fingers, maybe. Right there-"


Dalorna points to the section.

Sara looks more carefully and tries to open it.

With Dalorna's direction Sara see's where the panel is located . She easily opens the panel to discover a flat valise located in it .
