Well, since Borca is where the Ezran faith was born, and that the ToUP was prophetized by one of the church's sects...
I thought the First Ravenloftian War would have been fought over religion.

At least, I hope it will not be a war between Darkon and Barovia!
I coloni rovinavano la foresta costruendo il capolavoro dell'uomo civilizzato: il deserto.

On the whole S and Azalin thing, I found a neat comment that I think now makes some more sense. In Gaz II on page 64, Azalin comments: "One should not neglect one's children, my little scholar." As S and Death a.k.a. Llowelyn Dachine are both Azalin's clones, do you think it refers to S or Death or both?
Information seems to come my way whether by chance or by fate, but all this means, is that I have yet to find out what will kill me and why. - The Stygian Inquirer
A long time ago, Azalin tried to learn knew magic by making clones of himself and placing them as embryos in women all over Darkon. Most died or were hideously deformed, but a few were perfect. They grew up as individuals, with their own minds. S was born as a woman, Dachine was born normal. Azalin was unable to get new magic this way, but he kept watch on the kids and used them. Dachine was used to test out the Doomsday device and became death. S was used to travel the land and gather info (similar intelligence, and it probably also related some way to the bracer).
It was described in the second adventure of the Requiem series.
The Remnants have one saying to represent loss, disappearance, exile, and death. It is Shiao Marests, "Taken by The Shadows".
With all this talk of the Gentleman Caller, I'm surprised no one has mentioned what the GC's creator, Mr. Steve Miller, wrote about the character on his website: http://p075.ezboard.com/fstevemillersba ... =262.topic
After reading "possiblity#2", it seems to me that the GC isn't necessarily after Vistani to father his children, it's just that Gabrielle is a darklord that happens to be half-Vistani (and if you consider the hints in The Evil Eye, the daughter of another darklord).

I'm wondering if the GC could have anything to do with the founding of the Ezran Faith. I didn't check the dates yet, but I know that the ominous founding date of 666 BC (First Book of Ezra written by Yakov Dilisnya) was deliberate.

True but the link to S. is a wild idea at this point. No hard fact about it. Unless I misread the Requiem series, there is no mention of S in it...

John, if you can clear the following, I'd be grateful as I prefer errors not to stay as such for long, since they become truth after a while :
Did Maloccio get a reality wrinkle because he is half-fiend (my opinion) or because he is a dukkar? (or something else we missed)
Do half-fiend get reality wrinkle? (I do think so)

"A full set of (game) rules is so massively complicated that the only time they were all bound together in a single volume, they underwent gravitational collapse and became a black hole" (Adams)
The fortune teller can't see S's death or is puzzled by what she "see" (Gaz2 p47).
I guess that's the key. This and cloning But that's just my personal theory...

Meanwhile, if we forget Maloccio's case for a second, would you say half-fiend do get reality wrinkle? I didn't see any reference to it directly in any 3e book, just deductions from what I see in CotND. And the MM say half-fiend are always evil and have the outsider descriptor. So IMHO they would?
