Once he returns with Sara, whom Arnulf talks to as if she were a guy, he relays the information he learned. "Lorna, is Nova Vaasa somewhere near Marsember? Never heard of that place. Maybe we got teleported real far. Sara, did you say something about mists? How can that like be the reason why we are here?"

Arnulf frowns, clearly out of his element with all this talk about traveling in odd ways. Fighting monkey men, however is something he can deal with! That can give him a chance to prove himself and begin his journey to becoming as big and strong as that crazy man who nearly killed him.

"Hey, if we are gonna go after the monkey men, count me in. "

''I don't know how far we are from home, Arnulf. The truth is, none of us knows that. What I do know is that those children have been taken, and it's up to us to rescue them. ''

Dalorna looks at each of her companions in turn, then asks the group-

''Now, is there anything else that we need to do before going forth to investigate that forest? If not, let's get moving.''

Arnulf is excited inside. I can't wait to kill a monkey man and show them all I'm capable! Use my blade and dagger! He can barely keep in place.

"I don't know many things about the Mists. They just appear and strange things can happen, like teleport you in a place really far away from your land...I don't know if there is a reason we are all gathered here but doubt there is a coincidence. Maybe we are here to save these children and then they will get back to our homelands who knows. Or we can try to head there ourselves by asking or if we are really lucky if we are able to get a map. I can travel to Richmulot from Nova Vaasa. I don't know the road of course but if we run into a town I can ask which way I should get. Hope is the same with all of you. Hope Nova Vaasa is indeed Vaasa, the one Professor have mentioned. So maybe you can head back to this Marsember town as well."

Noticing how eager Arnulf is to fight Sara goes closer to Delorna and says in low voice so only she can hear.

"Is he really capable to use a blade? No offence, but he is really young. Is it wise take him with us? We have no idea how powerful are these monkey men and if we can actually beat them. I just want to be sure that we are doing the right thing with your brother."

Alia nods politely to Dalorna.

"I'm ready"

Isidar pulls out her warhammer and holds it up, “Arglar and I are with you! Ovina, that’s my mule, will come along. She might come in handy for carrying children or such.”

Waiting Delorna's reply Sara says in a bit louder tone so everyone can listen:

"I forgot to mention that in this land the name of the god is Bane. But they don't call their god Bane except in religious services, they just call him the Lawgiver by the common people. Don't know if these names rings any bell to any of you though."

''Oh, Bane? He's not really worshipped much in our own country of Cormyr, but I have read about him. Um.....''
Dalorna drops her voice so that the locals cannot hear her.

''From what I know, Bane isn't exactly the kindest of the gods. If we do encounter his priests, I'd suggest that we comport ourselves in a respectful- but also cautious- manner.''

"Ah, Bane. One of my last archeological sites was deep within a long forgotten temple of Bane." The Professor smiles at the memory."The findings we made where without a doubt beyond comparison and quite unique. That was the site that made my career."He shakes his head to one side, trying to bring himself to the present and away from his fond memories of the glories of old, and the pain that so soon followed.
"But enough of me digressing. As I stated earlier, I would have no problem coming along and serving as a healer, but I would require a volunteer to stay by my side in the capacity of keeping me safe. Their would be no sense in me going any other way. I would only serve as the frail sheep for the jackal to pick off at its leisure."

Arnulf looks back at the professor, then moves next to him.
"I'll protect you, mister."

The party now all together departs to look for the kidnapped children . As they leave the village they see some faint signs of foot prints that looks as if the "monkey men" did not try to hide their trail and the creatures don't seem to be all that large if someone was to judge their size by their feet . Every quarter mile or so a tossed or perhaps fallen kids piece of clothing is found to those following the trail that the are on the right track . After a few miles inland the party comes up on a forest that the trail of the children lead by the sign of a fallen shoe at it's edge .

earlier...

The Professor thanks Arnuf through a forced smile. In actuality he wasn't sure how a prepubescent boy was going to do anything to stop an onrushing horde of primates from tearing him apart.

present...

Looking down at the trail skeptically from the horse, the Professor says in a loud enough voice for the others to hear, "It looks as if our quarry has left us the proverbial trail of biscuits. I am afraid this does nothing to alleviate the tension in the air. Quite the opposite actually.

Dalorna approaches the verge of the forest.
She takes a minute to look around for further clues. She pauses to consider the situation.

After a minute, she says-

''We should enter the woods to conduct a search. Form a sort of wedge-''
-she makes a steeple shape with her hands to demonstrate-

''-with the keenest eyes in the point of the wedge. We need to spread out a little, maybe five or six yards apart- but not more than that. If we are attacked, we'll need to be ready to aid each other. Don't talk more than is necessary and try not to make a lot of noise walking. ''

"I think is better if we go in couples. A spellcaster with someone good in close combat. Like you Dalorna can go with your brother, Alia with me and the professor with Isidar. If you prefer other pairs is ok, mine is just an example."

''Pairs? Not a bad idea in case of a fight- but consider that we can cover more ground searching if we spread out a bit more, and that we would be less vulnerable to any traps the little monsters might have prepared- if they are indeed clever enough to fashion traps. What do the rest of you think we should do?''
