Ok I sent a translation to Adam of Juergin's Lamordian. Used a translator from google.

If that was an English-German translator, it's a BAD one. o_o Intelligible, but so, so horrible.

I could fake out/make out what Tarlyn's PC was saying without translation. There were enough familiar words, and I had full context. I don't actually read German, though.

Lamordian isn't really German, of course.

I always pictured Lamordia as being something like Switzerland. So they speak Swiss...that's a real language, right?? :D

For Dorgio I've been treating Luktar as if it's close to Hungarian. I may have picked that up from one of the Gazetteers.

Speaking of language, long-time players might notice Dorgio's syntax is getting less wonky. I'm trying to simulate how his Mordentish would change after two years of living in Pont. But in stressful situations, I am thinking his speech patterns might be coming back, yes?

Yes, Brock, that would be nice...

As for 'Swiss', I'm afraid you're not that lucky to have a swiss languange, but you can pick from four, say:
French, German, Italian, Romanche(English sp?)
There may be differences between the swiss version of the first three languages and the way they're spoken in their home countries, btw.
As would be expected, anyway.

I know, it was just a bit of teasing on my part for those of you from the EU. :)

Question before I post, did Everline take Thom up on his offer for the travelogue or is she doing it for her normal group?
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

I'm going to hold off a scene shift for a while. I'd like to let you guys RP more.

Has Benn heard these rumors about Denys prior to now?
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Nope, Benn hasn't heard anything in particular that would cast Denys Sancerre's past in a 'dubious' light.

Finely I posted. Thom has horrible scars on the back of head and neck, all which take time and care to hide successfully.
