I figured Boiros could easily get a ship from Pont a Lucine to Martira Bay and then with a caravan arrive close to Otterly. Caravans use to have many people so hope one of them could speak Mordentish. Is that ok?

Yeah I kinda did...10 INT is a problem sometimes...I wanted to play a cleric of Ezra long time now and those of Nevuchar Springs are evil...the Neutral sect is in Dementlieu. But it's ok, Ewan and Tarlyn will translate for me.

Plus there is always the memory change effect...In couple months (I think) Boiros will think he is from Darkon and will speak Darkonese without any problem. Which is good and bad thing but I'm looking farward to RP it.

My intent is to evade and confuse Boiros. I'd like to make it seem that Boiros either wasn't being clear (his foreign accent, maybe?) or that Varian just missed his request for help.

Nicodemus can speak both Darkonese and Mordentish. If need be, we have plenty of translators it seems.

He paid for travel on a boat to Martira Bay. Then made his way with groups until he found his way to this small town.

Xavril is actually from Darkon but chose to learn Mordentish as it is the "common tongue" of the lands from what he was told in his society of Gnomes.

I'm not clear on what Raf means by 'no free storytelling', but I doubt he means PCs cannot communicate (given a common language ). More likely he means no unprompted player-driven scene shifts or 'big stuff'.

Is that right?
