I figured Boiros could easily get a ship from Pont a Lucine to Martira Bay and then with a caravan arrive close to Otterly. Caravans use to have many people so hope one of them could speak Mordentish. Is that ok?

Vannie, are you seriously telling me you have a character that cannot communicate with people from Darkon? :azalin:

Also, the introduction is done. The next thread will open in a few minutes.

From now on, free storytelling on your part is explicitely forbidden. Or you, can try, and see what happens. :cookie:

Oh, well, not "cookie". More like: :arijani:

Yeah I kinda did...10 INT is a problem sometimes...I wanted to play a cleric of Ezra long time now and those of Nevuchar Springs are evil...the Neutral sect is in Dementlieu. But it's ok, Ewan and Tarlyn will translate for me.

Plus there is always the memory change effect...In couple months (I think) Boiros will think he is from Darkon and will speak Darkonese without any problem. Which is good and bad thing but I'm looking farward to RP it.

Well, then. More, worry if your character survives this night.

If he doesn't it's fine, you said it from the beginning that this game will be deadly. If Boiros dies I will make a new PC from Darkon this time :)

You seem to hate the Champions of the Maiden Raf :P

Rolls to fool and avoid Borios-

My intent is to evade and confuse Boiros. I'd like to make it seem that Boiros either wasn't being clear (his foreign accent, maybe?) or that Varian just missed his request for help.

Nicodemus can speak both Darkonese and Mordentish. If need be, we have plenty of translators it seems.

He paid for travel on a boat to Martira Bay. Then made his way with groups until he found his way to this small town.

Kill me when you need to. I can make another one that looks just like him. Nicodemus Benett with one "N." Or maybe he has a brother somewhere. You never know.

Xavril is actually from Darkon but chose to learn Mordentish as it is the "common tongue" of the lands from what he was told in his society of Gnomes.

Each of you two actions:

One about what you do over the evening - breaking the law, or antagonizing the villagers will end badly.

Another one about what you do while at the inn - breaking the law, or antagonizing the villagers will end badly.
My actions have been posted.

I'm not clear on what Raf means by 'no free storytelling', but I doubt he means PCs cannot communicate (given a common language :) ). More likely he means no unprompted player-driven scene shifts or 'big stuff'.

Is that right?

That's what I was assuming he was meaning, because we shifted to the bar pretty quickly. :D time to read posts!

Edit for post down below: Alright cool it worked! apparently I cannot edit it, to put this message in the post below.... must be an anti cheating measure. :D Good to know I can just roll here and not have to go to invisible castle.

Sorry I JUST noticed this site has a dice button and wanted to experiment in one post. I didn't know if there was a place to test the code elsewhere....
