SPAM PROTECTION FILTER
Something ugly has been crawling out of the e-Mists lately. Over the past few months, we have had around 10–20 new bot accounts registering every day. and a major spam problem on our boards: 20–60 spam messages every day. Unfortunately, the makers behind these accounts have proven remarkably persistent. Banishing that much annoying spam corruption is a long and tedious task, even for those of us accustomed to dealing with the horrors of Ravenloft.
To keep them out, all new accounts must now be approved by us, one by one, before they are allowed to enter our FoS Manor. So expect a short delay when registering! We’re sorry for this extra step.
But the result is that, so far, it works to keep the spam out of our parlor halls!
You can help us determine that you are, in fact, a real person and not some mindless golem-like creature spawned by the e-Mists. To help us approve your new account more quickly, please put something meaningful and relevant in your profile description. This will help us distinguish you from bots at a glance.
And if your account has not been activated within 48 hours, do not assume that the Dark Powers have claimed you. Please email me instead. You can find my email address on the Contact pages of our website.
