Probably has been Balok then. Seems to be everyone's most common choice of language.

Such an uncivilized language. :P

No, where did that come from? Her name was Desilda
That's Cole!

Artemis probably did, but he was refering to Kimuriel, who doesn't speak Mordentish.

I don't understand the later part. Does Marcus has to sacrifice Ixevim or he has to sacrifice himself fighting Ixevim?

The latter, is Robert's guess. He can't think of any other reason Marcus would be quoting a passage about great sacrifice needed to fight great evil, unless there's something besides Ixevim that Marcus would consider evil either present in the room, or very much on Marcus' mind.

Ahem, Marcus considers Ixevim his rightful master not a great evil... He is charmed. :) Our flame haired companion that makes so much noise on the rooms upstairs perhaps is something evil to Marcus, but I don't think he means the genasi (or even knows the difference for that part).

Could everyone in the room please make an Intelligence check.

Miserable, inexecrable failure (1+2=3).

Ixevim has a 22 intelligence.....
AND A NATURAL 20 ! ! ! :D :)

PS We should work out a method of rolling this. This time I was lucky but the intelligence difference between a genius (int 22 = +6) and a smart person (14 = +2) is far more than a simple +4 to the roll. Probably Ixevim should have rolled with much lower DC or something.

Ixevim already has a lower DC for this check as the reason will soon become apparent.
