McFarlane's Evil Prophecy

Has anyone ever played this game? I played it at a friend's house for several hours and I thought it was garbage but had some interesting ideas.

i) I didn't like the magic system
ii) I didn't like the constantly respawning weak monsters
iii)The bosses were ridculously difficult.

The art was pretty cool as were some of the concepts.

I saw it at the used game store yesterday, based on your comments, I bought "Demon Stone" instead. :D
I only wish I had retired sooner!
