Seeking Permission

Post by Hell_Born »

Hey all. Recently, I've gotten involved with a project at the D20 System boards at wizard.com; Warhammer D20. The author was having trouble trying to create stats for blackpowder weapons, so I directed him towards QtR and 2003 USS. To make a long story short, he likes the rules and wants use them, so he asked me to ask for permission (he also intends to put the rules into the Rulebook). Not being very confident (or skilled) at e-mail, I thought I'd just make a topic and get people's reactions here. Can we use the rules or will we have to create our own?

The USS is only a vessel to other people's work. The FoS doesn't hold the rights to any text in it.

You should contact the author directly!

Any idea how I could contact the authors (I specifically need to ask Morten Olsen aka Shady)? And what about the articles in QtR?

Most of the articles in QtR have an author name and email attached. You can contact the author at your leisure.
As for Shady, sounds like an old Malodorous Goat name - I don't know if he's still around.
