Off Topic, but:
>>If you really want to mess with someone's head, create a campaign based on Rainbow Bright. Do it right, and you could cause several suicides.
Er, character suicides, not player. Hopefully. <<
I'd like to see this done. I had a crush on Rainbow Bright when I was a wee boy.

Wow .. I'm sure that would have been great, if I could have seen the picture. I appreciate the thought, though.

That wasn't quite the style of horror I was looking for. I may now have nightmares for the rest of my life.
Yeah, one more childhood fixation destroyed.

Sad news I have... The article was rejected for QtR... The reasons are explained below:
" I've read through the document, and I am sorry to report that I don't
believe it is appropriate for either QtR or the Fraternity site. While it is
clear that a huge amount of skill and effort was put into this document, the
subject matter is completely at odds with the theme of Ravenloft - and at
times, even at odds with itself.
For example, your book details all of the funny, cutesy smurf storylines -
but it also introduces concepts such as killing babies to make new smurfs.
These two ideas don't mix at all.
On another nitpicking note, some of the writing takes an unprofessional
tone. It is an extreme turn-off to read phrases like "We all know what the
tower looks like".
Finally, the choice of using D20 Modern rules is questionable. Though
Ravenloft is in limbo after White Wolf, no material on Ravenloft has been
written in D20 format. As a consequence, the article would be of limited
value to DMs using standard D&D rules to run their Ravenloft campaign.
I know you and the other writers have spent a lot of time collaborating on
this project, and I do not want to discourage you from future ventures.
However, given the incongruity of smurf cuteness and the pseudo-horror
add-ons, this submission is inappropriate for the Fraternity publications.
Once again, I am sorry,
Stephen."
Now, we'll have to upload it somewhere else - I can do it in deviantart...
