Dang! :x and I'm here in Switzerland for two more weeks, and haven't found a decent game or bookstore. I was expecting the reprint "Vampire of the Mists" to be out by now, but expected EtCR to be a little while longer yet. Definately getting them as soon as I get back to the States!
I only wish I had retired sooner!

Hmmm. The village of Barovia seems awfully small.

Thank you Rafael

You should come down in Milan... Awful city, but has gaming stores, at least.

I remember it as small as this in House of Strahd, actually. :?

I wish I would have known that. I was in Italy all summer and most of the game stores I foudn were lacking in goodies. At least in english, that is.

It's''pertty''.

But please tell / show us more!

Although, I am curious, I will wait for reviews if this.

(And to be honest, after buying the AMAZING Ptolus book, I don't think my girlfriend would be very happy with my buying this right now... There is always Christmas!)

According to both RPG retail stores in Montreal, it's out here on the 10th.

Judging from this thread (second page), Expedition appears to be, at least to an extent, what most of the people on the boards predicted (and feared). I'll probably pick it up, but it's not exactly at the top of my to-buy list.

:( Well, at least I have House of Strahd floating around here... This new book will be nothing than a collector's gem for me, in any case...

Hulalala, I am still crazy about it!

I do feel a little dejected there are no dark powers or whatnot, but I still feel this will bring new players ot the setting.

On the downside, more competition for eBay goodies.

Ahhh, that's why those of truly hard cores will have finished all their eBay acquisitions before the release! :)

I might swing by the local bookstore and see if they have any copies.

To Jester,

Ptolus is very good.

And it wasn't too hard on the wallet: I pre-ordered so it came out to 10$ a month (got the Big Book, Night of Dissolution module, access to extras on the web, and tons of extras on CD-Rom and what not's).

I highly recommend it. Still not sure? Check out the free player's guide to Ptolus on the web. Or buy one of the PDF'S (cheapest one is 6$ I think), it'll give you a better idea of what it is and the quality of the product.

I apologize for derailing from our subject here.

BUT, I want to try to incorporate Ptolus to RL. (See, it is related!)

Also, please keep the reviews coming about EtCRL!!!

I got mine in on the third...
It's Okay.. but i really dont like how it says how to convert Castle Ravenloft into Forgotten Realms, Ebberon and *Gasp* D20 Modern.
Just like the Pied Piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes
Swaying to the Symphony of Destruction
