Dang! and I'm here in Switzerland for two more weeks, and haven't found a decent game or bookstore. I was expecting the reprint "Vampire of the Mists" to be out by now, but expected EtCR to be a little while longer yet. Definately getting them as soon as I get back to the States!
I only wish I had retired sooner!

Hmmm. The village of Barovia seems awfully small.
Thank you Rafael

You should come down in Milan... Awful city, but has gaming stores, at least.Catman Jim wrote:Dang! and I'm here in Switzerland for two more weeks, and haven't found a decent game or bookstore. Judging from this thread (second page), Expedition appears to be, at least to an extent, what most of the people on the boards predicted (and feared). I'll probably pick it up, but it's not exactly at the top of my to-buy list.

I do feel a little dejected there are no dark powers or whatnot, but I still feel this will bring new players ot the setting.
On the downside, more competition for eBay goodies.

To Jester,
Ptolus is very good.
And it wasn't too hard on the wallet: I pre-ordered so it came out to 10$ a month (got the Big Book, Night of Dissolution module, access to extras on the web, and tons of extras on CD-Rom and what not's).
I highly recommend it. Still not sure? Check out the free player's guide to Ptolus on the web. Or buy one of the PDF'S (cheapest one is 6$ I think), it'll give you a better idea of what it is and the quality of the product.
I apologize for derailing from our subject here.
BUT, I want to try to incorporate Ptolus to RL. (See, it is related!)
Also, please keep the reviews coming about EtCRL!!!
