Questions: Can Fallenleaf see what caught the raven's attention? And can he see the tail? If so, how big is it, and how far away?

Alain seems to take some comfort in his freinds concern, although it looks as though alain has been fighting a losing battle with his sanity since this expedition began.

As the party moves its way accross the stone bridge, the party spots the strange creature in the air. Alain is puzzled, having never before seen such a creature, and when its grandure is realized, Alain does what he does best when confronted with something which looks unbeatable, He attempts to run, preferably towards the castle where he may find cover.

[Fallenleaf cannot see what disturbed the raven. Even after a long walk over the bridge, the bird is still way away. Plus, he hasn't spotted the tail - only Shana and Jarryd have...]

You all haste over the magical bridge and are almost immediately attacked.

From high in the sky, winged horros follow your path, shooting balls of crimson energy towards you, and small, living flames with glowing yellow eyes spring from the lava and spit their burning saliva at you...

Yet, none of the demons seems to dare to fly near... Like if something was holding them back, terrified...

You have walked over one mile on the bridge when the ground suddenly start to tremble, and small pieces of stone break from the fragile construction and fall into the lava...

And with the tremor of an eartquake, the lava field opens to push out the most horrible, yet sublime creature you have ever seen in your lifes!

The Red Worm's head towers high into the sky, and flames come from its giant nostrils...

Scarlet and cruel eyes dart at you with otherworldly hate...

It seems to Jarryd that the world is trying to snuff out all life of his lungs once and for all. Everything has occurred in order to acomplish this, however, it is a confort that Osiris has always protected him from harm. His faith has kept Jarryd alive all this time.

Once more, and with some part of him already used to see weird things in this land forsaken by the gods, Jarryd confronts the fire horror that just emerges fromthe river of fire below his feet. Osiris is with me and he will guide me through this.

But Jarryd knows that the creature will not be defeated with brute strength but with brains. He takes a second to analyse his situation and that of his friends.... We should run but where?! Are we fast enough?!

OCC: Is the beast cutting off the bridge pass to the castle? Is it behind or in front of us? Just to know what to do next before it eats us all..

OOC> I have edited the other post and I pasted the old part here.

IC> Very concerned about the beast that comes out from the lava, having an idea of what kind of creature might belong, Inovidil gets out her crossbow knowing very well that probably the bolts can do minimum damage to it.

"Oh great Mystra! I hope this is not what I have in mind because if it is, we are in biiig troubles. This seems to be the most... busy day of my life. I wonder if we ever manage to have a minute without troubles. And we haven't entered in the castle yet..."

Then starts running towards the castle.

OOC: Oh, bugger.

IC: While trying to shield his face from the demons' fiery drops -- Are they ... spitting at us? he thinks angrily -- Blaise nearly slips as the ground shakes and the red behemoth appears! "Is this a nightmare?!" he yells. "Can any of this land be real?" Still, aware of the others behind him on the narrow path, he continues moving forward.

OOC: See PM.

George stares for a moment, stunned by the sight of the red behemoth.

"What in the name of the King-Fuhrer is that?!?"

He then runs as fast as he can toward the castle

Jamethon doesn't pay the flying demons much heed. Then he sees the dragon emerge from the lava- and then he runs for his life, across the bridge toward the castle.

Shana stands for a long moment staring in catatonic horror at the huge behemoth, then suddenly screams and bolts for the castle at top speed, sprinting along the bridge heedless of the lava either side

OOC: Question--is the dragon between the party and the castle, or is it behind them?

IC: Seeing the dragon rise in the lava, Fallenleaf kneels on the bridge and begins to mutter, tracing a triangle on the bridge and peering over the side briefly as he does so.*

A serpentine form with the upper body of a man appears in the lava below near the dragon; leaning over the side, Fallenleaf shouts something in a weird tongue that mimics the snapping of the flames the group heard earlier in the forest. Nodding, the salamander makes a snapping gesture and the lava next to it erupts in living flame; together the pillar of fire and the serpent-thing converge on the dragon.

*Summon nature's ally VIII to summon a noble salamander. Since Fallenleaf speaks Ignan, he instructs it to summon a fire elemental and attack the dragon; he's hoping it will slow it down enough to give everyone a decent head start, at least.

Fire elemental to the red dragon? Maybe it's better since Fallenleaf has Summon Master VIII why he doesn't summon something which does cold damage?

If the creature summoned is not a fire creature so to speak it will most probably die in the lava , no?If it were to go one on one with the dragon i mean.
