Thanks for that. My only solace is the fact that Dominic D'Honaire's presence wasn't announced yet that I could see and that this kind of uptown event seems unlikely to have the Living Brain in attendance. ^^; ... which leaves me worried about what is going on.

Wouldn't he have to worry about being stuck with the preserves on the buffet?

Besides, nobs can be so unkind. Show them someone with even the slightest little defect, like not having an actual body to house your brain, and they'll snub you all evening long.

True but I can imagine him dominating all of the rude aristos into some vast puppetshow as after dinner entertainment, only to be interupted by someone taking a forkful of his frontal lobe as an amuse bouche with their foie gras on toast....
