Since it looks like most of emigrated enmass from WOTC board (which I think the decision was influenced by the DPs themselves to trap even more of us  ), it seems like a good idea to bring this subject over here. (And I'm sorry if this has been done before here, it wasn't til recently have I been able to get to these boards.)

For those who don't know the rules, there are no rules! Be as humorous or as serious as you want, fictional or non-, only justify why the nominee should be in Ravenloft (and not necessarily as a domain lord, although that is the general idea).

I'll just mention the one I posted on the former thread: Black Adam from DC Comics, an evil/anti-hero version of Captain Marvel (Shazam!) fame and gifted with the powers of the Egyptian gods. He single-handedly slaughtered a small nation for the assassination of his wife, Isis, and step-brother, Osiris at the hands the rulers of the said nation. After the destruction of the nation, he turned his wrath on the world, and slaughtered several super-heroes and -heroines (several of them teenagers) when they moved to oppose him (see World War 3 for DC Comics)

Glad to see you made it off the sinking ship!

I'd send Josef Fritzl. He claims to have been motivated by love, but incarcerated his daughter and fathered 7 children with her.

This, to me, is the most heartbreaking line in the whole article:
Elisabeth taught the children to read and write.

Helmsley could open a hotel/pocket domain. Her best line: "Only the little people pay taxes."

I agree that he's a monster, but not all monsters are Darklord material.

The 2v or rather 2x version of the Mists could include the Marquis de Sade.

Chin Shih Huangdi, the first emperor of China.

Damn, I wish that book had seen print!

The Ancient Dead darklord "Hua Gaozu" in the Asianloft thread was heavily based on him.

Are we looking for Darklord material or just creepy SOBs?

Then we've got the example of Hazlik to show that sometimes, if you're gay, you really can do rather little and end up in Ravenloft...

That's my question. The OP could be read as, "who is good DL material," or "who deserves supernatural torture" or even "who would you like to see vanish from the earth/history."

Him and Vlad Tepes. Drakov rules Falkovnia like Hitler, but his evening entertainment is reminiscent of a few stories I've heard about Tepes.

If that's the case, then I nominate Serpentor! (Hell, I had a whole campaign idea based around a Serpentor-like being)
