To be clear- Tristan is telling Roderigo about the chest- him and no one else. He won't care if Tahl hears, but he's not broadcasting the information to any of the others.

If he cannot get Roderigo away from Saverio and the others, he will slip his boss a signed note (art supplies and paper on hand for writing, so that shouldn't be too hard).
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Ah Tristan, the loyal houndsman of house Pancrazio...

Well lets hope there isn't any evil contained within the black box. Julian would not like smiting his own Uncle to ensure that evil doesn't continue to fester within Pancrazio manor.
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

Indeed. That's why Tristan warned him about the 'nigromantic magic.'

Yeah was hilarious. You can tell he got his learning done in woods of Arkendale.

It's actually an alternative, old fashioned variant of 'necromancy.' It just means 'black magic.'

Tristan will join the others in the kitchen, once he has some clear indication that Roderigo has understood his message.
