Spam advisory: We've seen at least 2 examples of a new user posting their first post by finding an old thread and cut 'n' pasting a section of text as a response to a newer thread, resulting in a post that looks sorta-kinda sensical, but not really. If you see such a post, please report it and do not respond. Thanks.

A poster appeared who only posted six barely-on-topic posts, back on 2011-10-27. One of those posts was a snarky one-word post in response to a video I'd posted in the "Creepy Online Cartoons" section. After I posted a neat video of Wild West gothic horror, he'd written the single word "average", thus earning himself the most patient force of revenge known to mankind: the slow-burning wrath of a forum contributor against a supercilious self-appointed critic.
Guess what?
In the "Good Books ABOUT Gothic Literature" thread, he posted a list of books and then later on altered some text to link to a commercial online essay writing site. His post is here.
All the rest of his posts suggested he might be nothing more than a somewhat clueless newbie poster with a few pungent opinions. But now that we have incontrovertible proof of his filthy spambothood, it's time for the pitchforks and torches and big red запускать ракеты button.
Moral of the story: if you're going to be a forum spambot, don't go around arbitrarily offending other forum users. Their sense of revenge may just be enduring enough to come back and comb your posting history two years later.
Or better yet, just don't be a forum spambot. Imbecile.

and this, dear friends, is why we cultivate in our members the patience of the undead, the vengefulness of the vistani, and a tattletale streak to rival 1st graders, mafia informants, and the Kargat Youth. Thanks for the tip. Here is your cookie and your revenge: DELETED! (If I could digitally send you his head, I would)

And the bot thought I would show Mercy to someone with my Best Friend's Name in a topic based on me and my best friend's name.....
Doesn't seem so.. just seems a bit mistaken that MLP is disney. He introduced himself in the new user thread. Seems to know about Ravenloft. No links in profile or sig. I'm think a legit new user. And you're in the wrong thread. Moving your post.

uhh no I'm not a spammer. if you'd read the forum you would have seen the post by Manofevil reading:
Given the Mouse's madcap method of mixing and matching new properties, we might also consider inclusion of our favorite (or most hated) HASBRO properties as well. I personally think Pinkie Pie would make a GREAT darklord.
Also, does this mean we'll get to see 'Once Upon a Time in Ravenloft'? Huh? Huh?
----------
to which I responded:
watching the video of "pinkie pie" it seems to me she would be a dark lord who was surrounded by animated objects who would talk to her and be her "yes" friends but could not stand the presence of friends with opinions and there for often kills them. in addition she hates her object friends and each year on her birthday only has them to comfort her. she often attacks and trys to destroy them but they never die just become more and more malformed proving they are not real. she of course also got there by killing rainbow dash because he was forcing her away from her party and object friends.
-----------
it was meant to be funny, not sure how it would possibly be mistaken as spam.

Sorry endianprime. It wasn't clear what you were responding to, and it was a 4 month old thread at the time you responded, so I'd forgotten the MLP reference on the first page,, which wasn't readily visible from the 2nd page where your post was. (Tip: use the "quote" function in cases like that, so we know what you're responding to.) You'd be surprised at the sorts of spammers we get. They post stuff that sorta kinda seems relevant, but not quite, as though they may have skimmed the thread a bit, but still not really knowing what we're talking about. Then they put links to viagra sales in their profiles, etc.
You've definitely proven yourself not a spammer, though. carry on and have no fear... (well, no fear of banning. Some Fear is healthy. Especially in Ravenloft)

LOL thank you very much. yeah I am not, even online a social person. so I'll have to take a better look at the quote function and get the hang of it. likely among countless other things, such as formatting.
