Lord Ildool orders that the hall be cleared of everyone but those with official business, now that the trial is over. Ino and her friends are free to go. Nell Wynnet is escorted out of the great hall by a pair of the baron's men. Watch-Captain Rask tells his watchmen:

''Take the next three days off. We need to let things cool down a bit- and you must figure out a way to pay Inovidil's fine. I haven't anything like that kind of money. All I can contribute is a few gold crowns. Here.''

He reaches into his pocket and hands Ino twelve crowns.

''Good luck with the rest. Report to me in three days. ''

Rask then exits the hall.

Ildool's men will clear anyone who lingers without leave from the Baron, escorting them outside the building.

Outside the King's Tower, the skies are overcast and a light rain falls.
The rains and the work-crews have worked together to erase much of the worst damage from the undead attacks and the great fire- but scars yet remain.
In the shadow of the great but wounded citadel, children play in the muddy streets. Peddlars roll their carts. Cloaked watchmen trudge along the way, the heads of their spears covered with wax-coated cloth sacks to prevent rust from forming[hardly making the weapons less deadly, as the cloth is so thin].

Back at the inn, Blaise glumly considers his options and his part in recent events. He first seeks out Moorcroft for a one-on-one conversation. "Jamethon, I apologize for calling you a fool," he says. "You acted boorishly and arrogantly, particularly toward Shana, but our past experiences together have shown that you're clearly not a fool. We disagree on a number of things, and we'll continue to do so, like feuding sisters in their dotage. But I don't want that to shred the bonds we've established." He extends a hand to Jamethon.

Later, he holds up his studded leather armor before Shana and Alain and says, "I fear I'll have to sell this. It's enchanted and should fetch a fair amount of the gold necessary to win back Ino's spellbook. What do you think?"

Inovidil follows the others at the inn. She is happy that she is finally free but at the same time very concerned to how she can get the money. At Blaise words says with a sad smile.

"Thank you all for coming and assisting to my trial, I was fool to not have talked to Captain Rask where we will go. Blaise, please no need to sell anything yet. My father is a wealthy wizard and I'll ask him to give me some money. I just need a way to contact him. There is a spell that can do that and I just hope Glimzine, Threen's brother, to have it and let me prepare and cast it. Otherwise we can go to a temple and ask a cleric to contact my father."

She makes a small pause and then looks at Shana.

"I have seen you dancing and your shows are amazing! Can you do a couple of shows and get money? I'll pay you back of course, just need to get my spellbook and magical items back."

Jamethon says to Blaise as he takes his hand-

''It is nothing to keep friends apart. I apologize to you- and to Shana. I allowed my irritation with the whole mess to get the better of me.''

Glim answers-

''Well, there are several ways she could have escaped, but I think the most likely explanation is that somehow she concealed or otherwise got hold of a potion that made her either ethereal or gaseous. Then, she'd be able to escape quite easily. It's also possible that she was teleported out- but that would require powerful magic, indeed!''

[OOC note; Glim and Threan are out of hearing range of the others, having headed homewards]

Shana gives Ino a fierce hug, and sucks in a deep breath.

"I'm so glad to see you're alright! and don't be regretful... you did good. Now... of course I'll put on some shows, but I don't think I can bring in 5,000 gold that easily. I'll try, but we may have to pick up some leads to a hoard of some sort..."

Shana receives Moorkroft's words with a small tight smile.

"Don't worry about it, Master Moorkroft. It's probably for the best that we are honest with each other, hmm?"

Inovdil smiles to Shana.

"I'm sure you can get the money in no time! But seriously now, the first thing I'll do is try to contact my father in Waterdeep and ask some money from him. I'll be glad if you could arrange the rest. I'll try to craft items too if I find someone interested. They can give me half gold before and the rest after I finish the item. I just need to get some rest my night in jail was the best one in my life...I wore a splint mail to sleep! First time in my life I wore an armour and hope will be the last, I could barely move with it! So after I get some rest I'll go to find Glimzine and ask his help. If he has the spell I want I can contact my father tomorrow morning, otherwise need to ask if a cleric has it. The temple of Lathander might help me I think."

at the Old Shell...

Alain gives Blaise a half smile, commenting that he wished he had something so fine to sell for Ino's benefit.
After a moment or two and some kind words towards Blaise's selflessness, Alain excuses himself from the Inn and heads out to meet Captain Rask at the Militia Headquarters.

''Yes, Shana. I suggest that we leave aside our personal differences for the time being and concentrate on the best way to help Ino.

Ino's plan of contacting her father for aid is a good one, but it may fail. Waterdeep is a over a thousand miles distant, and it may take longer than three days to contact him and actually receive the money- even using magic. There's also the possibility that he won't be able to help her, for one reason or another. Of course, we must try it.

Ino, I think your notion of creating enchanted items on commision has merit. Do you really think that the gnomes will help?''

Shana looks surprised

"I don't see the slightest reason why they should. In any case, I don't think the idea will raise the money in three days. Whatever our plan is for raising the money it will take longer than that. We're going to have to borrow it. The temple of Mystra might be worth a try: they'd be open to suggestions about creating magic objects as repayment, and hostile to the idea of a wizard losing her spellbook."

She sighs

"If only we were in Calimshan. I've something we could sell for an easy 6,000 there. Oh well."

Moorkroft seems a bit surprised by that-

''You have something so valuable? What is it?''

For just a moment, Jamethon's guard drops and Shana might detect a hint of ...interest... in his eyes.

''And everything.....hmmmm...yes, you might get that much for yourself, indeed.''

"Unfortunately, there's no market in Cormyr. Is slavery even legal here? Actually it probably is... being evil and all... but no one seems to practice it. Oh well. Maybe we should start canvassing temples or finding out about money lending. Might want to try for 6,000... adventuring might be a good way of paying it back."
