A Ravenloft Podcast?
A Ravenloft Podcast?
Has any ever put any thought into doing a ravenloft podcast? The is plenty of episode material from discussing domains and darklords alone.
I'm sure it would get a good amount of listeners.

Yes, and I'm glad someone's thinking the same thing!
I sent an email to all the Fraternity members this past weekend to pitch the podcast and look for a co-host or two.

A monthly podcast would be interesting. It sounds fun, but after a few attempts at recording (I submitted a small segment to a podcast once) I have decided I do not have a voice for radio. But I'd be willing to listen.
Content is never a problem.
Once you set your mind to something, you'd be surprised the content you can come-up with. I blog three times a week on the WotC site and when I started I was sure I'd run out of topics within a month. Now I'm starting month-10 and nearing blog #150 and I've only repeated myself a dozen or so times and greatly improved since my early attempts.

Hmm I'm going to do some experiments and see how my voice sounds over audio. Also considerations are to figure out how much of a pain the process is, how difficult it would be to do stuff over skype with other hosts or guests and how well I can speak on a topic while being recorded. You all won't have my accent inflicted on you all just yet.Jester of the FoS wrote:A monthly podcast would be interesting. Amusingly enough, I've been told I have a wonderful voice for radio. (They didn't say anything about having a face for television, but you can't have everything, I suppose.) I also put together a little podcast the other day, so I'm reasonably sure I can get a very simple vocal track recorded.
In other words, I'd be interested in giving it a try!

Well, I sent this email to the Fraternity members two weeks ago and never got a reply. I'll post it here:
EDIT: Check out my Vampire: the Eternal Struggle podcast episode!Members of the Fraternity,
I am interested in hosting a podcast for Ravenloft. I am looking for one or more co-hosts and I figured you guys would be the best to start with. The link below is my audio pitch:

To include a little bit about myself, I've been gaming for over ten years and I've specifically been interested in Ravenloft for the past six. I'm no walking encyclopedia of Ravenloft lore - hell, I've only got seven or eight sourcebooks. However, Ravenloft has kept me constantly interested over the years with its strong novel line and intriguing world. I've been inspired to begin podcasting by superb shows like World's End Radio and Darker Days Radio.
Regards,
Michael

Re: A Ravenloft Podcast?
Resurrecting this.
What do you guys think, would this be something you'd like to do?
Probably, we could start small, with a monthly get-together on skype or a similar program, simialr to GreyTalk, or other community chats.
