What is it about? From some chars I found in the encounters/week thing, it sounds interesting. It has some words I love in D&D games like thief, backstab + rogue and evoker + wizard.

Yes, I do have questions.
What is it more or less? Alternative classes or just different powers to choose from and class talents?

I always to scroll lower than the general forum, and check on these forums. Getting slack in my dottage...
It's essentially a revised take on the PHB. Both this book and it's companion (heroes of the forgotten kingdom). They have the core rules and all the information needed to play, plus classes.
The classes are classic classes (fighter, wizard, rogue, etc) but new builds that sometimes act very differently and don't always interact well with existing builds of the same class. It could be used as new power books for a cleric or druid, but are fewer new powers for fighters and rogues, which are built different and use a different design than standard 4e classes.

Some people think they're a dash closer to 3e.
