The Devil's Dreams: A Boy and his Shadow
Re: The Devil's Dreams: A Boy and his Shadow
Juergin's hand moves with a mind of its own. The dagger attempts to cut the pirates throat, silencing him forever.

Re: The Devil's Dreams: A Boy and his Shadow
The first thrust isn't enough to silence the man, but Juergin stabs him again and again. He thrashes and gurgles a little, and soon ceases to breathe or move- forever.
The noise of the stabbing has roused the man in the next hammock. He opens his eyes, and looks about in confusion. He hasn't spotted Juergin just yet, but he seems to have noticed that something is wrong with his 'sleeping' neighbor....

Juergin sighs. He grits his teeth and stabs at the waking man with his dagger!

Re: The Devil's Dreams: A Boy and his Shadow
Ewan Cummins: Jürgen stabs the drowsy man in the neck, silencing his voice. He then quickly stabs the man twice more in the breast. The man barely has time to react, and doesn't even get free of his hammock. Jürgen doesn't hear any sound from the other men, except snoring.
The shadow whispers- ''They will hear you move the boat, boy. You know what you have to do. Be strong boy. Avenge your father. ''
The men sleep peacefully in their hammocks...
Steve flam: Jürgen grits his teeth. He looks around as he puts away his rapier and takes his dagger. He thinks of his father as he moves to the sleeping men.
Methodically he slits everyone’s throats.
Ewan Cummins: As Jürgen moves across the room from hammock to hammock, he slices each man's throat. Some men die quickly and with little noise, but others open their eyes and gasp. The living shadow flows into their mouths and wraps around their tongues, stifling their cries.
The last man opens his eyes and looks into Jürgen’s as he bleeds to death. The shadow is elsewhere now, and the boy can hear the dying pirate try to speak through his injured throat. The man's eyes plead for mercy. He reaches up and grabs the boy by the arm. He gurgles, blood gushing from his neck and mouth.
Steve flam: Jürgen frowns, trying to comprehend the man.
He lets him speak but not act.
Ewan Cummins: ''Uggghhhhh...hnnggghhhhh"
Steve flam: His knees are atop the man’s shoulders blocking his arms
"Speak or die, you killed my father you bastard!"
Ewan Cummins: The dying man thrashes, and then falls still. His eyes glaze. The breath leaks out of his body with a horrid whistling sound. .
The whole room stinks like a slaughterhouse now.
Steve flam: Jürgen throws up after he realizes what he’s done
Ewan Cummins: The shadow-dwarf slides up Jürgen’s back.
''Good boy. Good, brave boy. We are friends now, sealed in blood. We will travel together..."
Steve flam: I, I Killed all those men.... those bastards killed my father!"
Ewan Cummins: ''Them, or others like them. They are all the same, pirates....''
Steve flam: '' Pirates are all the same, those bastards! They all deserve to die!''
