Its the Kickstarter I ran last summer. I'm trying to beat the official release date by 5 months on the first products, including the first tutorials guide book, the 100 map object set, and hopefully some if not all of the Endless Terrain Battlemap (printable tiles). Its going to be tight to get all products released by August 2014, but if I can get the majority of the products on or before the release date - it won't look so bad.

Here's the link if you still need it: 25 Quick & Dirty Map Tutorials Guide Kickstarter

Mr. Tumey, will your kickstarter book be available for purchase for non-backers?

Curious, as I'm working on revising my Ravenloft map (again), using some photoshop skills I've picked up in the two-and-a-half years since I last did my map. And some extra map skillz and tips might be handy.

Originally, I'd planned to just tweak the mountains, but once I started fiddling, I started tweaking the colours, opacity, and such and adding some bevelling for the rivers and coastlines.
I'm mostly just tw

For everyone else, here's a quick preview of what I'm doing:

Still working on getting the trees to look right.

Here's a look with forests, roads, cities, and some slight tweaks.

Still need to actually start the mountains, which was the original reason for the revision.

Woah, I just stumbled back in here like some drunken atavistic brute.

That's an awesome map, Jester! I love the terrain rendering!

I'll be watching this development with fascinated eyes. Is this something Kickstarter supported?

nah bing i'm pretty sure that was the "Guide to mapmaking" or something similar to that which mentioned Kickstarter in this topic. :)

MichaelTumey Kickstarted a book on mapmaking. I haven't read it, having kept a tight lid on my crowdfunding since Reaper took all my money. (I was doing good until the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter, too.)
But I'm always looking for good advice on making maps.

I'll be starting on individual domains next week. And likely redoing my Shadowfell map.
Plus, since my current style actually makes doing maps a litttle easier I might do some other maps. Verduous Lands is first and then onto other clusters. Any requests?

Those are really a work of beauty, Jester! Well done!

I'm technologically illiterate, so it took me an embarrassing amount of time before I figured out how to render the maps in their gigantic glory. Click through to the map you want, then look at the right hand bottom corner, for the magnifying glass. You'll have to click it two times in gentle succession: the first time it brings up an isolated preview, and the second time it renders it in full hi-resolution quality. (This will also likely need more than one monitor to view fully.)

Great work again Jester, and thanks for sharing!
