Benn looks up suddenly, his eyes widening. "Jonas?" he shouts. "Jonas! Keep shouting! Papa is coming!"

He hustles into the darkness towards the sounds of his son.
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Dorgio fails to retrieve the chest when his shot misses. The others are already falling back.

Primeiro covers the party's retreat from the dungeon, with his sword in one hand and glowing sunrod in the other.

...

After the party climbs out of the pit, Melmoth sticks his head through one of the open windows in the ruined walls and announces,

''Mules are restless. Something tried to steal our supplies. Didn't get a good look. We're missing some pitch and such."

The party moves with haste, and are quickly underway, travelling towards the chateau.

...

Halfway to the big house, a voice calls out from behind the party, down the moonlit trail. Two blurry figures, one taller than the other, appear on the dirt road. As the running figures draw near, Dorgio and his friends recognize Benn and Jürgen!
Jonas squirms in his harness.

" Papa!"

END OF CHAPTER FIVE
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.
