Any of them would work as there is more than one way to learn something. In any case this is something you can take 20 on.

Does anyone have like mage armor? Ghost's usually attack with touch AC meaning armor is mostly useless.... unless magical. <.< Protection from Evil helps with Mental influencing abilities as well as posession oh and +2 AC

Yeah Boiros has Protection from Evil but he will cast it on Percy since she is the one who will do the ritual and most probable the target.
