The elves have been totally distracted by the furious charge of the two knights, and have pulled up the ridgeline to shoot their arrows.

Leaving their rear and right flank open to an attack by the other ambushers, who showed more patience.

Given the very close range, I'm assuming mêlée. Since the elves are using bows, they will be forced to either flee or drop their bows and use spears, knives, etc.

Rennault may backstab one:

[dice]0[/dice]

Miss!

Ned is off on an errand.

Hob creeps up behind an elf and tries to stab him.

[dice]1[/dice]

Hits.
Hobb damage

[dice]3[/dice]
Renn 2nd attack

[dice]2[/dice]

dagger
[dice]4[/dice][/dice]

Cormac can't shoot into melee without risking hitting on of his friends, so I'm assuming it is hatchet or axe time.

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

ROUND TWO:

Sir Boarholt will ride up the ridge at attack elves

requires riding check

[dice]0[/dice]

On the nose!

He will join mêlée.
It's not a charge, but he's moving and smiting with his hammer.

Assuming that Roald does likewise

Riding

[dice]1[/dice]

His injured horse balks at the steep ride, and he is kept from helping the party just now. But he can dismount and move up next round, or do something else, as the player likes.

Horsey does

[dice]0[/dice]

The elf goes down.

The elves have suffered several either killed, badly wounded, or KOed in very short order, in an ambush.
They have numbers on their side, but they are surrounded.

A morale check will determine whether they withdraw or stay and fight this round

[dice]1[/dice]

That's a crap roll. They run away! No attacks from them, just swift elfy legs sprinting over the up and down terrain like it was a flat plain.

Renn, Hob, and Cormac each get one mêlée attack on a fleeing elf.

And Cormac gets his regular attack as well.

C-Mac

[dice]2[/dice]

[dice]3[/dice]

Hits once

[dice]4[/dice]

Renn's one attack:

[dice]5[/dice]

Hob:

[dice]6[/dice]

PARTY HAS KILLED, SERIOUSLY WOUNDED, OR KOed 4 of 10 elves at this point

Roald can leap some obstacles and attack the elves with a Riding check (they seem little impaired by uneven ground, and are using that to help their escape)

Archers in party can't immediately shoot without possibly hitting Sir Boarholt and/or Roald

But Ned, lurking in the trees, is waiting for the elves and fires on the lead runners as they get close.
Two shots
[dice]0[/dice]

[dice]1[/dice]

No hits, but the elves turn their path, seeing that they are taking fire from what they had thought was the safety of the treeline

Morale check to maintain cohesion in flight

[dice]2[/dice]

The get their act together and withdraw into a nearby thicket, where thornbushes and frosted boulders offer some protection against arrows and make a direct cavalry charge difficult.
