Oh well, I never liked our new alchemist anyway. Good quality high prices.
Of course, he doesn't deserve to be gnawed to death after the matter is resolved just because he would know a little to much. But life is hard.

Raen will go and borrow money from him. Or buy stuff on credit. Seems a good investment since I would give him a 50% chance to be unable to claim.
(I'm joking).

UPDATE

I am leaving the next bit of pacing/scene setting more or less under player control.

Do you guys want to skip to the café and lunch, with the party together again?

Or do you prefer seperate morning scenes?

Is there anything anyone of the party would have done, not already described IC or mentioned here in OOC, in the morning?

I assume Benn arranged a modest, dignified funeral service for Hornsby, following Ezran rites.

If we had an Ezran cleric in the party, I'd love to see that scene played out.

As it is, the scene was more likely a quiet matter for Benn and his family, just before they departed.
Thus Charlotte wearing black.

A next day funeral is not so unusual, by the way. Especially this time of year (it's late summer, going on early autumn). Benn's connections help, too, natch.

I'm good with getting the party together again.

The funeral happened before Charlotte left under the "Watch" of the Reniers, correct?

I think a meeting at a private property, without servants this time, would be nice to discuss options.
and how to ensure Benn's family will not suffer from any disappointments the Reniers have on how we handle the situation.

I seriously doubt Brock would disagree.

And Lord Skybolt sent me a PM giving me the okay to detail what his character found, in response to questions, when he's not online and a wait would slow this next part.

I'll post a new scene now.

Scene change has been made.

If your PC isn't there yet, and you want him to be there, just post him arriving.

Detect magic on the stuff I got from her, particularly the ring.

The ring detects as magical, and the box carries a fading trace of spell-work.
Give me a Spellcraft check, Know-Arcana synergy applying as usual, to evaluate further.

The coffer had some sort of minor enchantment cast upon it, now fading away.

The ring's much more potent magic appears to be necromantic in nature. Strong, but latent or inactive, as if waiting to be triggered.
