The [[vampire]] lord resided in [[Castle Hunadora]].<ref>[[Realm of Terror]]p.70-71</ref> He was betrayed by [[Dr. Daclaud Heinfroth]]<ref>[[Ravenloft Campaign Setting: Domains and Denizens]] p.62</ref>, who allowed him to be staked. (It is unclear why Heinfroth and his accomplices did not completely destroy Gundar, but his skeleton was found in Hunadora and sold to [[Professor Arcanus]] by [[Gabrielle Aderre]]. As a [[darklord]] who vanished before [[the Grand Conjunction]], details on Gundar are sparse in [[Ravenloft]] game products. He was first mentioned in the domain description of Gundarak in [[Realm of Terror]] ([[Black Box]] Set)<ref name="Realm of Terror p. 72">[[Realm of Terror]] p.72</ref> Although the reference in [[Feast of Goblyns]] to see RoT for information on play<ref name="Feast of Goblyns]] p. 11">[[Feast of Goblyns]] p. 11</ref>, no write-up of Gundar appeared in RoT. ==Atrocities==
In [[canon]], there is little revealed about Duke Gundar's life before stepping into a [[gate]] to [[Ravenloft]]. As [[darklord]], he executed horrible taxes among the downtrodden [[peasant]]s he ruled over, going so far as to tax the gathering of firewood and even the birth of a girl instead of a boy (on the basis of a boy's contributions in labor will be greater than a girl's.) When the peasants tried to rebel, he mercilessly killed the insurrection leaders and put their corpses on display in the orchards of [[Castle Hunadora]]. The fruit given by these trees were so tainted they remain inedible to the [[peasant]]ry to this day.<ref name="Realm of Terror p. 72">[[Realm of Terror]] p.72</ref>

One of Gundar's more specific acts of cruelty was the attempted subversion, [[imprisonment]] and [[torture]] of the traveling [[bard]] troupe [[Morts-Qui-Dancent]] in the year [[641 BC]] or shortly thereafter. Gundar tried to get the bards to serve him as spies, but they refused. As punishment, he called on his son [[Medraut Gundar]] to torture them and curse them with a unique form of [[cursed]] [[undeath]]. Dr. D. has spent 180 years as a vampire at the time of [[Feast of Goblyns]] ([[736 BC]] according to [[Domains of Dread]] p. 17). Duke Gundar: Fixed punctuation and clarity

[[The Three Hags of Tepest]] are [[Laveeda]], [[Leticia]] and [[Lorinda]]. They are sisters. Their family name was Mindefisk. They are the joint [[Darklord | Darklords]] of [[Tepest]]. Their home lies at the heart of [[Wormwood]].<ref name="Ravenloft Gazetteer V, p166">[[Ravenloft Gazetteer V]], p166.</ref>

Each of the sisters is a competent practitioner of hag magic;<ref>[[Darklords (Sourcebook)|Darklords]] p.41</ref> together they excel at the brewing of horrifying potions. Prominent among their crimes is the creation of [[Blackroot]] through the awakening to consciousness and foul twisting of a great oak using such exilirs. The sisters seem also to be very competent with scrying magiks. Indeed Azalin commissioned equivalent of a ''[[crystal ball]]'' from them in the form a crystal shard.

The sisters stoke the fires of the [[Tepestani Inquisition | inquisition]] so that they can harvest the corpses of those whomever it condemns.

Apart from goblins, [[S]] is one of the few beings to see one or more of the Three Hags in their nature form and escape to tell the tale. <ref>[[Gaz V]], p?</ref>

The sisters created the [[Tincture of Midnight]].

Because they are fond of showing their superiority, the hags are also fond of riddle competitions, which may buy prospective [[victim]]s needed time to escape.<ref name=dlp43>[[Darklords (Sourcebook)|Darklords]] p.43</ref>

If one of the hags should die, her sisters will attempt to revive her using their [[Cauldron of Reincarnation]]. A Mindefisk sister so revived will always come back as a [[hag]].<ref name=dlp43>[[Darklords (Sourcebook)|Darklords]] p.43</ref>
