Horatio Wicks was the son of [[Ornette Wicks]] and [[Carolina Wicks]] and brother to [[Caleb Wicks]]. Horatio was the only one of his family to be able to get Caleb to behave. He did this by telling him the stories of [[Black Hat the Swordslinger]], an infamous (but probably fictional) [[murderer]] and [[criminal]].
