Hroth is a small town, located in Sithicus at the terminus point of the Elf Road. Although only a small town, it is Hroth's largest community in terms of population. It also has a higher percentage of humans and half-elves than Har-Thelen, yet foreigners and travelers are actually less likely to visit Hroth.[1]

Hroth has a large area of wetlands nearby, so the locals have taken to using the bogs to bury their deceased.[2]

Missing Dread Possibility from Gaz IV

Not all Sithicans have forgotten, or at least chosen to forget, the god-wyrms of their blasted shrines. Thaumiol, an outcast from the arcane caste of Hroth, has pieced together the ancient legends and become a devoted disciple of the Many-Headed Devourer, seeking to draw her attention back to Sithicus and to reap the power that that attention would bestow. So intense is his fervor that his body slowly began to change, taking on aspects of a green dragon. The deformities forced Thaumiol to retreat to the marshland south of Hroth, where he eventually discovered what he considers to be a literal godsend: the preserved corpse of a massive, five-headed lernaean cryohydra, sunken in a bog. Thaumiol believes this body to be an emissary of the Many-Headed Devourer, and now seeks the means to animate it as his servant. That done, he intends to hunt down the rangers who protect Hroth, then teach its faithless inhabitants what comes to those who forget their gods.
