Re: Ravenloft Artbook of Talon Dunning
I have a few that I added borders to, al la the Gazetteers, but it looks like I never finished doing that for all the portraits. This campaign lasted two years and went through several people, though many of the core players were there for the entire thing I had every single character in it ever com...

Re: Spicing Up The Bride of Mordenheim
I appreciate the post, and agree with you in a lot of ways of course. The thing is, I have ran my own campaign from scratch, which I was very proud of. It lasted two years and ended quite well. It was fun to wrap up of course, and I used much of my source material fully. This campaign, I actually pu...

Re: Ravenloft Artbook of Talon Dunning
This might seem silly, but several years ago I commissioned several images on the way you did your character portraits, of the player characters in my Ravenloft game at the time. I tried to find an artist who could draw... similar to your style, obviously not identical by any means, nor would I want...

Re: Spicing Up The Bride of Mordenheim
I really don't care much for the caliban manservant concept. It's a little too... I dunno classic and obvious Dr. Frankenstein.
Atleast not this time, perhaps when I run Adam's Wrath.

Spicing Up The Bride of Mordenheim
So on Wednesday, I've decided after my players have recently made their way into Ravenloft (well, some were from here) and done the Forgotten Children's "Rebirth" Adventure, that I'd like to run the Bride of Mordenheim adventure, found in the Book of Crypts. Now, I must admit I love the fa...

Re: Cut Scenes: Does anyone use them?
I loved the emailed cut scene idea by the way. That sounds like a great idea

Cut Scenes: Does anyone use them?
The Ravenloft DMG mentions using cut scenes to really feel in the players when it comes to the background of a villian for example. Has anyone actually used these? How do they feel, how do you avoid giving too much away. Are they avoid idea, a bad idea or any advice?

Re: Grand Conjunction Changes that are not so Grand.
*random* I love titles like The Morninglord and the Lawgiver so much more than I like specific deity names Especially the images that Bane conjures up.

Re: Grand Conjunction Changes that are not so Grand.
While your point is valid to start the campaign with the Shining Bay in place that can't be the case.

Re: Steampunk in Ravenloft
Well said player is in thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am going to have to work a bit on Background as apparently he is thinking historically and now wants to be Arabic, sold as a slave and ending up in the Shining Bay. Probably escaping Nosos to make his way to freedom in Paridon (my idea). ...

Re: Steampunk in Ravenloft
Having read about the Shining Bay I am absolutely enthralled by it. Almost makes me wish that Forlorn had managed to end up attached to it. As a sort of impenetrable ghost forest (that would steam Malus eh?) Anyway, thank you for the suggestion, this is perfect. I'm actually going to suggest he be a...

Grand Conjunction Changes that are not so Grand.
So I am looking at leading my players through the Grand Conjunction, however (and I'm sure I'm not the first to do this) I'd like to actually start the campaign with the core as it is in current context (including the Shining Bay). I've already looked at some of the changes that would need to be mad...
